That is the problem. Stop sharing crazy information that you haven't first investigated yourself. You brought up the CDC worker in an attempt to support your belief that the COVID vaccine was dangerous. However, you didn't even bother to really learn anything about the CDC worker or his death. It was just something anecdotal that you probably heard about in one of your conspiracy theory study groups. That is how misinformation spreads. If I hadn't come behind you with an extensive, painstaking, 20-second google search, there might have been some people here who actual believed that he was murdered over a flu vaccine. ROTFLMBAO

Sir, this is what is being reported on Milltary.com: The latest revisions to the COVID-19 Standardized Operational Guidance offer a chance to ease restriction-of-movement requirements, which tightly limit where sailors can go and whom they can be with for 14 days before deployment. The revisions could even mean no quarantine for sailors who received a final dose of the two-shot vaccines within 90 days and allow them to get off the pier for liberty in safe haven ports.
“It’s a way to give them back some normalcy,” said Rear Adm. Karl Thomas, Assistant Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Operations, Plans, and Strategy.
He said the Navy found that crews about to deploy are signing up for vaccinations in large numbers. Some 23% of active duty sailors have had at least one shot, and 13% are fully vaccinated. Roughly 80% of the recently-deployed sailors of the Norfolk-based USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group are being immunized. www.military.com/daily-news/2021/02/20/navy-says-vaccinations-allow-first-steps-toward-more-normal-deployments.html

Also on Miltary.com: Navy Loses 4th Sailor in 20 Days to COVID-19
23 Feb 2021 Military.com | By Gina HarkinsThe Navy has lost a fourth sailor to the global pandemic in the last 20 days after a Virginia-based sailor died of the illness caused by the coronavirus on Monday. The sailor, assigned to Assault Craft Unit 4 out of Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, died three days after being diagnosed with COVID-19, the service announced on Tuesday. The sailor's identity was not released, pending family notification. The sailor was admitted to Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk on Saturday after testing positive for the virus a day before. Navy officials say the sailor died of "COVID-related complications." Read Next: My Journey to Discover the Lost Flag-Raiser of Iwo Jima "We mourn the loss of our shipmate; our thoughts and prayers are with the Sailor's family, friends and coworkers during this difficult time," officials said in a Tuesday statement. Those who had contact with the sailor have been notified and are taking appropriate precautions, the news release adds. More than 500,000 Americans have died during the coronavirus pandemic. This is the seventh sailor to die of COVID-19 since the pandemic began, and fourth just this month. Rear Adm. Bruce Gillingham, the Navy's surgeon general, told reporters on Friday that the sailors who died of the virus this month were likely exposed to the illness in their communities since they weren't deployed when they became ill. I think it is very evident how someone like Donald Trump was elected to office. Social media is actively eroding (on a global scale) whatever collective intelligence we once had. The old adage "a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes," has only been exacerbated by the proliferation of the internet and social media. Anyone can use these platforms to spread misinformation, hate, bigotry, and lies and because people are too lazy to seek true knowledge it creates a vacuum of ignorance that feeds the masses. As Donald Trump once said, he "loves the poorly educated." Whether it's politics or a global pandemic, there are TONS of fools who want to be heard and millions who are gullible enough to listen to them. Be careful who you follow on these platforms, consult credible sources of knowledge, and log off every now and then and read a damn book.
