Nowhere on this platform have I insinuated that I am an authority on this matter. But Freeze has stated several times that his wife actually is an authority on this matter. If you honestly want to seek the truth, why not defer to her expertise?

I had a lengthy conversation with a good friend from college yesterday who gave me a bunch of brilliant, well-thought out reasons why the vaccine was harmful and why we should listen to our religious leaders over medical experts. My daughter's piano teacher listened to our "religious leaders" as opposed to medical experts. And now she's dead. We used to be a society that had limited "microphones" and usually those "microphones" were only reserved for the smartest people in the room to help educate the masses about a variety of issues. But now EVERYONE has a microphone and EVERYONE has their own platform and as much as this new "information age" has benefited society, we must also acknowledge the fact that it has been just as much of a "misinformation age" as anything else. Even Facebook has a "Facebook jail" that they send people to if they are identified as constantly circulating mistruths. But here on Blue Death Valley you wanna let this brother "cook" in the name of entertainment and "discussion." The problem is you have been seduced into thinking that ALL OPINIONS have merit and should be valued and shared with the masses. In the case of whether we need turf or real grass, that is harmless and entertaining. In the case of how do we combat a deadly global pandemic it is not. But go ahead and keep passing out microphones to the fools. Again, your site, your call. The mere fact that you believe your friend's anti-vaccine rant that favored the opinions of religious leaders over the medical experts was "brilliant and well thought out" speaks volumes. If you play stupid games you win stupid prizes. Good luck to your friend and the countless others out there that want to continue to play that game.

Freeze, I understand you are emotional and frustrated by the current state of things, but please don't misrepresent my words just to strengthen your argument. You are far too intelligent to not understand sarcasm when you see it. Also, you are welcome to share your ideas on this thread, just like every other poster. But if it constantly pains you to see opinions from other people that you personal don't not like, perhaps you are the one who should take a brief time out from this discussion and come back to this thread when you feel more prepared to deal with the stress. I appreciate your suggestions on how to best moderate this forum. However, I can assure you, if I banned every poster who ever said something I disagreed with, there would be about 3 active members on this site.

Miss me entirely with the "emotional" label. I have already said numerous times now "your site, your call." You can (and clearly do) run it anyway you want. I have ZERO personal investment in what people think about most of the topics on this board which are usually only related to Aggie sports. It's a college message board and so by default you have to realize that you are going to be stuck with peoples opinions....which most of the time are misinformed but also harmless. What "pains" me is to see a site that caters to college educated folks from my alma mater provide space for mistruths to be presented in the middle of a deadly pandemic. And that should "pain" you too and provide you with enough discomfort that you would police that in the same way that other online and social media sites are trying to do. But I guess you chose not to. Again, your site, your call. You strike me as humorous and goofy fella who welcomes playful banter. My apologies if I failed to detect any sarcasm from your last post about your friend and their "brilliant" insights about the vaccine. Internet prose can be a cold medium and it's often difficult to pick up on such things. But I hope you can pick up on this....misinformation in the middle of a pandemic kills people. If you think its harmless and perhaps even beneficial for you to let the brother who works in a warehouse to continue to share his misinformation with the folks on this site, then keep cooking boss. Again, your site, your call. I'll head back over here to read more crazy opinions about the color of our grass and what's wrong with Jah.

Buffalo Bills to require fans at games to be vaccinated against COVID-19
3:09 PM ET By Alaina Getzenberg
Buffalo Bills ownership has announced a new policy that will require all fans to be vaccinated to attend games at Highmark Stadium and KeyBank Center, home of the Buffalo Sabres, this season.
Pegula Sports & Entertainment, along with Erie County, announced Tuesday afternoon that beginning with the Sept. 26 game against the Washington Football Team, all fans ages 12 and up must have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine shot in order to attend. That rule will expand to requiring all attendees over the age requirement to be fully vaccinated starting with the October 31 game vs. the Miami Dolphins.
Masks will no longer be required for those above the age of 12 once the new policy is in place.
"If you do not want to get vaccinated ... that does not give you a right to go to a football game or a hockey game," Erie County executive Mark Poloncarz said. "If you want to go to the games, get vaccinated."

If you honestly want to seek the truth, why not defer to her expertise? So what is her opinion on this subject with regards to the hesistancy of people to take the jab? Given the history of this government war against us are we to submit to their solutions while money is the prime factor? While it appears that we may have to hibernate again those of us who are marching to a different beat are we to be discarded/disregarded because we seek answers. Yes I am mindful of the reality of the moment, but I am also aware of the troubles within our goverrnment which did not mind spending money in Afganistan yet will not provide money to the people that are in need for a virus not of their doing but rather Frankenstein scientists. Perhaps a review of Rand Paul exchange with Dr. Fauci is worth a second look. By the way just a student of Political Science.

Obviously her opinion is that people should take the vaccine. BTW: I doubt that you are really a student of pretty much anything based on how you have addressed the topic of this thread. You have not made one coherent argument at any point of this conversation. I gave you a chance to offer your solution(s) to ending the pandemic and you responded by just posting a youtube link. You repeatedly acknowledge that you have no medical expertise whatsoever, yet you cling to baseless conspiracy theories and you refuse to listen to the sound advice of medical professionals or the FDA. Now you are suddenly a fan of Rand Paul of all people.
You call yourself a student of Political Science yet Freeze is actually a distinguished Political Science professor at A&T and has literally written a best selling book about African American history. Yet you continue to ignore his sound advice about taking the vaccine.
Just because you lack understanding of something, that should not give you a green light to invent your own fantasies. That is what the ancient Greeks did when they looked up at the stars and wondered how the universe was created.
Be smarter than them. Challenge yourself to better understand math, science and technology. The conspiracy theories you cling to may seem like an easy, neat way to explain a complex situation, but they are really just delaying your own intellectual development.

Conservative radio host who swore off Covid-19 vaccine dies after contracting virus, co-host says
CNN Expansion, Mel Alonso By Melissa Alonso, CNN Updated 11:01 PM ET, Tue September 14, 2021(CNN Business)Conservative radio host Pastor Robert "Bob" Enyart, who swore off Covid-19 vaccines, has died from complications due to the virus, his co-host announced on social media Monday. "It comes with an extremely heavy heart that my close friend and co-host of Real Science Radio has lost his battle with Covid," said co-host Fred Williams on Facebook. In October, Enyart won a lawsuit against the state of Colorado over its Covid-19 restrictions, CNN has reported. In a phone call with CNN following the ruling, Enyart said, "We have a right, even an obligation to worship him (God), and that's without government interference." "Bob Enyart was one of the smartest, and without question the wisest person I've known," said Williams. An August 2021 Covid-19 update to the radio show's website said Enyart and his wife Cheryl "have sworn off taking the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson vaccines." Enyart is one of several conservative radio hosts who passed away recently from Covid-19 complications after complaining about masks and expressing skepticism about vaccines. Dick Farrel, a Florida-based talk radio host, passed away from the coronavirus in August, as did Nashville-based host Phil Valentine, who 65 when he died. Marc Bernier, another Florida-based conservative radio host and an outspoken opponent of masking and vaccines, also died of Covid-19 last month. CNN reached out to Enyart's family and did not receive a response. www.cnn.com/2021/09/14/media/bob-enyart-death-covid/index.html

N.C. A&T is encouraging students to get vaccinatedIt works by having college students advocate for the COVID-19 vaccination, including one at North Carolina A&T State University. The American College Health Association is leading the initiative with the help of student ambassadors who use social media to educate and advocate. That includes Nadiya McLean. “We talk about just how the new norm is, how we're vaccine forward instead of getting back where we used to be. We're learning to adjust where we are now," McLean said. Since the start of the campus' COVID-19 vaccine initiative, over 11,000 N.C. A&T students and employees have been vaccinated. spectrumlocalnews.com/nc/charlotte/news/2021/09/13/vaccine-ambassador
