Hopefully, they have the grades and get through the clearinghouse. One of the flips happened because of just that - grades. The grade requirements for D1 FBS and FCS are the same correct ? The requirements are lower at D2 or JUCO ? Wouuld this not be a prop regardless of which D1 University I am clarifying because I hear this at times saying he / she went to a HBCU because of grades if its not a D2 HBCU its not because of grades. Thats why we saw a couple of non qualifiers as example the kid on the team that we flipped from Wake Forest.. www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/florida-recruiting/os-sp-javonte-gardner-jackson-state-gators-20201217-p5ig5qs25zc5zprzr3sq6quyai-story.htmlThere are some questions about this kid's grades and whether or not he'll actually qualify. We've also had kids that we recruited to ultimately never make it to campus because of their grades. To specifically answer your question, FBS and FCS have the same grade and credit requirements so if he didn't qualify at Florida, he'll most likely not make onto Jackson State's campus.

Coach Prime and JSU has the top FCS Class in America and ranked 121 in Country two more flips yesterday a tackle from Fla Gators and DB from GA Bulldogs.Coach Prime is putting Talent together but can he Coach..I love to play them meet us at corner Lindsey and Sullivan. Hopefully, they have the grades and get through the clearinghouse. One of the flips happened because of just that - grades. I AM not hated but when he leaves all that fame and glory leaves right with him. The recruits don't know if he can really coach at the college level so they have to go on his reputation. We will see. He have to succeed with all that talent.

Your talking about Javonte Gardner from Vanguard in Ocala he didn't flip by choice he could not get through the UF compliance requirements and had some issues with the Clearing House .

That's the thing - if he couldn't get past UF compliance, he's likely unable to get through Jackson State's if they're on the job.

With that kind of talent and a decent coaching staff (except I'm questioning his o.c.) I'm not worried about Prime's coaching ability.
I am worried about the discipline and grades as noted by more than a few folks on this thread. ESPECIALLY the discipline. Prime simply will have zero legitimate standing to tell his players to quit wolfing with his reputation. Might not cost them games, but it'll cost them yards.

I am not gone say I know him but I have played pick up basketball with him at Lifetime fitness in Plano, TX on more than a few occasions. It’s a lot former athletes that play ball at the gym.
Prime was always pretty calm not super hyped like the rest of the ex NFL folks in the gym. I think he well aware of what he will need to have his players do on the field and in the classroom
The days of Miami U in the early 2000’s are over

What does Prime's reputation as a Wolfer have to do with him as a coach . I have seen him on the sidelines coaching and his players did not show the same animation / Wolfing that Prime did in his playing days . Prime did not allow that from his players at all . I have seen him many a time get in players face masks for unnecessary Wolfing especially when it resulted in a penalty . Hell you can't judge the man for his actions in the past because if that were the case a lot of us even on here would be WANTING. It should be interesting going forward.

Another big evening signing and this one is really sweet in Johnathan Cannon Jr. (6-5, 260) a 3-star OL/DL from Charlotte. Projects as most likely as a left tackle. Vance HS (now Julius Chambers HS) has been exceptionally good to us this recruiting cycle. 247sports.com/player/jonathan-cannon-46057928/

He's got both length and quick feet. He's still growing.

Props or non-existent at the FBS level that's what they use JUCO's for and is rarely used FCS programs. Prop"s used at the D2 level from time to time but even the D2 programs have moved away from using the Prop system . The NAIA upper tier programs use prop's more the the rest . Also let's clear up something's so people will stop with this BS about admission standards and practices . To admit are not admit a student athlete is up to the admission standards of the university it has nothing to do with being D1, D2 ,D3 or NAIA . As long as the students meet the academic core requirements and can clear the Clearinghouse . The rest is up to the office of the compliance and the Board of admissions .
