So a player like Jah-Maine Martin could transfer to Clemson next fall and finish his senior year there?
Am I reading that correctly?

Well, I dont think that is a good rule change for HBCUs at all. We are about to become a farm system for the Power 5 schools.

There aren't enough spots for these kids, especially at the Power 5 spots. If you aren't a sure-fire draft pick, you're going to go back to college for a "free" year.

The Power 5 schools have 22 more scholarship to play with.
If you are the defending MEAC player of the year and you are looking to improve your draft stock, what would stop you from just transferring to a FBS program and playing your senior year against SEC or ACC competition?

With this year not counting...a kid could that redshirted could complete his or her college degree this spring (4 years) in school and still have 2 years eligibility left
As example 2017 - red shirt 2018. - red shirt freshman 2019 - sophomore 2020 - junior (does not count) COVID year 2021. - senior 2022 - 6th year senior
6 years in college a lot kids should be getting a masters

I am so dam confuse. We are all over the place. Since we don't have a accurate roster the new kids that we sign last fall not even sure if they all enrolled at A&T.
Aggie One what happen to some of these kids we sign a couple months ago IE 6' 5' OL from charlotte his name was Truesdale and others.
Aggie Monster yes I am happy with the two DBs 6 1 and 6 3 . Not so happy with 6 '4 OL and little fellow 5' 11' CB and little fellow WR 5' '11.

He's #73 in the pictures. #77 (Jason Ivey) was also there. Actually, you can "kind of" see what I'll call a preliminary depth chart in the Dr. Simmons' pictures. LT - Ali (75), Cairnes (78), Ivey (77) LG - Simpson (74), Claytor (62) C - Wilson (55), Minarro (68) RG - Lagrone (60), Brooks (58) RT - Williams (72), Truesdale (73)

The FBS programs are in the same dilemma as everybody else .

The players at said school. Most P5 are 4 to 6 deep at skill positions

Power 5 schools are 4 deep at the skill positions ... and they still have JUCO transfers come in and start for them immediately.
Now they can just sit back, survey the landscape and see if there are any top HBCU players who can help their roster for a year.

I posted about it earlier in this thread. The portal is full of kids with Martin’s talent level already. If you aren’t a sure-fire find, you won’t find a spot.
