Somebody needs to explain to me how we can operate our athletic department without any ticket revenue. How long can that continue? Hopefully, just 1 season. Earl said one season in this pandemic won’t hurt us too bad.

I still don't understand the anti-football bias. The Basketball team has already played 12 games in empty arenas. The track team is practicing right now for their season. They aren't a revenue sport and even when fans are allowed the stands aren't packed. They will be running around the same field that the football team would be playing on. There will be officials and staff present. What's the difference? Let these kids play. Those basketball games were not empty arenas. There are family and friends allowed in as long as they’re on the list. TRUE, and I'm glad that they are doing that. I would hope that every school across the country is honoring the Player Guest Lists for both teams at every game. But concerning the topic, they are non-revenue fans.

While I understand the enthusiasm for playing common sense must factor in if i was the coach no way would i even entertain the thought of playing based upon the medical evidence because of the psychology of the crowd. Guy up on a building in position to jump he hesitates meaning he is thinking but the crowd is hollering jump jump jump adinfinitum until the preacher goes up to talk to the man and the preacher jumps off the building. The point forget about spring football and focus on spring training camp. After all victories just may be Pyrrhic.
