Barcone marks the second transfer from Presbyterian this week. She's an outside shooter by trade and was their assist leader. 2021-22: Played in 29 games for the Blue Hose and made the start in 28 of those contests… Finished second on the team averaging 10.6 points per game… scored in double-figures 19 times, including a career-high 25 points against Gardner-Webb… also pulled down 4.6 rebounds/game and led the team with 76 assists… dished out a season-high five assists on two occasions against Gardner-Webb (2/22) and Charleston Southern (2/5)… led PC with 49 steals… had two games with five steals against Longwood (2/19) and Campbell (3/3)… tied for the team lead with 51 three-pointers, including a season-high four in four contests… notched a double-double against Campbell (1/26) with 13 points and 10 rebounds… was second on the team in league play with 12.6 ppg… gobluehose.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/maleia-bracone/5027They visited aggieland during the season and had to transfer lol The other transfer is from East Carolina. … tied for the team lead with 51 three-pointers, Soooo. By comparison, Shereka McNeill had 54 three-pointers this season. The next highest on the team was Scott with 21. I'm liking this already. Also, we were led in assists by Scott with 71. Bracone led Presbyterian with 76.

Talia Davis named America East Rookie of the WeekDavis averaged 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in two games last week for the WildcatsDURHAM, N.H. -- Freshman forward Talia Davis (Dedham, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team was named America East Rookie of the Week for the first time in her career, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Davis averaged 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in two games last week for the Wildcats, including a career and game-high 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting and a career-high seven rebounds in the home loss to Stony Brook on Sunday afternoon in her second career start. "I am very proud of Talia, she works extremely hard and strives to get better ever day," said UNH head coach Kelsey Hogan. "Her dedication to individual and team improvement has been impressive especially from a freshman. Her confidence is consistently building and I am excited to see what the rest of the year holds for her." Not sure how another guard helps unless she is next level talented.It appears we have a plethora of guards,can't wait to see how this team mesh.
