No one filled Haygood’s role either. There in lies the problem we don’t have 2 athletic stretch 4’s to run that 3/4 quarter trap....You have to adjust to your current personnel Or go out and recruit talent in order to do it. The freshmen coming in 21 can do it, it seems.

If they do come back we shouldn’t be happy. But there are going to be opportunities to get back in the game. Just watch. It’s a matter of wanting it. You got a lotta faith, TyBall1. Of course as soon as I type that, we send Blake one on one in three of four possessions after we get stops. In reality, we couldn’t get a stop from the 16 min to the 12 minute timeout. Layups, wide-open threes given up. Just trading baskets. Cut the lead to 11 and then it gets back up to 19. Same thing against Ohio and The Citadel. I know the team will get better but it’s frustrating to watch the defensive lapses.

Again I just don't know about playing Kam and Harrison simultaneously. Now your 2nd unit doesn't have a true PG, Cleveland, by trade is a 2, a small 2, but he is a shooter. Harris only has to play a backup role for one season. Just seems he be more efficient running thr point fornthr 2nd unit. But we shall see. I agree. Harris should only run with Kam if we are trailing by multi possessions or end of game. But too many time Blake goes 1 on 5.

As bleak as things look tonight, this game has 0 effects on the ultimate goal; winning the MEAC. For us, OOC games are scrimmages to prepare for the Regular Season, which is nothing more than preparation and seeding for the MEAC tournament and NCAA March Madness Play-In game. There's a reason the MEAC has been regularly rated by computer polls as the 31st or 32nd D1 basketball conference. So what happens if they play poorly in the conference? What about Herm Edwards, "you play to win the game"? Thank God we are on track to sign a Top-100 Freshman Class and are a few pieces away from building our own Fab-5.

It messes with our spacing on the floor when Kam and Blake out there together. Kam isn't a 3 point shooter so teams are now just clogging the paint when both drive.

It took time for Jones to figure last year’s squad out, too. At least there is way more talent here than than last year’s debacle at UNCG.
I actually am looking forward to that game. On to Richmond.

Keep on hanging your hat on recruiting......if a top-100 freshman class runs this same shitty offense, we'll still end up losing to anybody we play against. You can't "out-talent" well disciplined basketball teams.

You can't "out-talent" well disciplined basketball teams. While true, the consensus is this is occurring because we don't have the stretch 3 and stretch 4 needed to run Jones' scheme to perfection on offense and defense. Well, according to multiple recruiting sights, Duncan Powell and Chase McDuffie fit those molds.

You are absolutely right when the ball rotates back to Kam he ain’t shooting no jumper nor is he pulling a 3. Last year he had a bail out because Kam could hit Ron Jackson to bail us out late in the shock clock cause Ron could create his own shot. We have 1 player taller than 6”6 that can create his own shot (Lyons)......
The only chance we have is to play through Harry in a post kick out offense. Coach got realize last year was last year
