IJS, a couple of pickups to add to the men's roster wouldn't be a bad idea...

You know they got the money to support track and field so why are they dropping it? Making all their money on football and don't want to waste time on track? What the story behind them dropping the program?

Not sure Clemson has track athletes we would want unless they are throwing events or above 800 meters. It is not like they are a track power

Not sure Clemson has track athletes we would want unless they are throwing events or above 800 meters. It is not like they are a track power but those disciplines that you just mentioned are holes we need to fill... If we're serious about going after a national championship in Track as its been mentioned by our administration and coaches, then we need some corn-fed S-O-Bs that can throw some weights, and some distance runners.

I'm more concerned about the 15 or so black kids that are no longer going to get any money for school because they want more "perks" for the football team. Another example of why I dont like Clemson. Why not reduce tennis, golf or soccer. Because its primarily white, thats why. Or why not just say, "Our football program covers enough for everyone to keep track going. We being petty and greedy right now"

I thought the article indicated 17 of the 25 athletes were seniors thus there wouldn't be many to get to upgrade throwing/ field events or distance. Also, to go after the national championship , you must have national quality ( can score at the NCAAs) athletes ... Not sure that is what Clemson has. Finally, some of their guys are not black, thus we would have to have a breakthrough . Not that there have not been white track athletes at NCAT, but none have had enough talent to be successful beyond the MEAC. Not saying you are not right about the holes which need filling , just not sure that is what we would be getting from Clemson
