With our semi annual trip to Pittsburgh we will end up getting more players from the area too. Signing Yeager has given us visibility in Minneapolis...his twitter blew up with messages from players in that area.

I love the amount of respect our program is getting from the national media. Folks understand that A&T is a serious football powerhouse right now.

First off kudos for that broadcast doing their homework and getting our name right. Second, it is pretty clear folks on a FCS level really have been following us and have analyzed the moves we are making. I agree with the guy from HERO Sports that most Alumni want to see how we stack against to FCS comp and most are not even thinking about FBS right now. What really caught my attention was how they spoke highly of the Yeager kid. They really feel is one of the best FCS recruits in that upper midwest area, which screams to me pipeline time. I have a cousin who used to live in Minneapolis, and he always stated that the area is nice but it is very few black people. Just imagine if we go up to Fargo and get more eyes on us, we can definitely pull more gems from that area who want to experience the HBCU life. Because as most of you know, once they take one visit and compare it to those other schools up north, we can lock them in.

I think you missed what I was saying overall. Although you may think there is not a lot of talent in that area, you could be mistaken. I'm not saying MN is a hotbed, however as a HBCU we can pull a few kids not only from the MN area but the entire upper midwest footprint. Kids like Yeager more than likely would choose us over a South Dakota or some other PWI FCS school just by environment alone. Hell, WV is not a hotbed for talent and you know who we pulled out of that state.

The three that come to mind immediately for me are: 1. Larry Fitzgerald 2. Bruce Smith' 3. Dave Winfield
And I believe that Kevin McHale is a Minnesota native, too, but not sure. Michael Thompson played for UMinnesota, but he's from The Bahamas & Miami.
Anyway, "Aggie Pride is Nationwide," so the brand continues to spread.

Minnesota isn’t as hot as even the 757 but some nice quality talent has come out of there, It’s where schools like NDSU and Former D3 power St Thomas pull kids from. It’s a nice statement we were able to pull an out of state kid away from Ivy league schools and South Dakota State, an FCS power.

I think he was from Norfolk or somewhere in the Tidewater area of Virginia. Maybe he migrated from Minnesota.

Yeah Bruce Smith is from Norfolk, he graduated from Booker T. Washington HS literally across the street from Norfolk State. Also graduated from VA Tech

I think he was from Norfolk or somewhere in the Tidewater area of Virginia. Maybe he migrated from Minnesota. Yeah, I had to go and look that one up...AND I WAS WRONG! I was getting him mixed up with another Bruce Smith that I had heard about while in Minnesota for the NBA All-star Weekend one year. They were honoring athletes from Minnesota at a function and I remember his name being mentioned. However, that Bruce Smith was a Heisman Trophy winner from the 1940s. MY BAD!!
Larry Fitzgerald grew up in Richfield, Minnesota. I knew that he was from Minnesota because he was one of my favorite Pitt football players.
My third one would have to be Kevin McHale. I thought that he was from Minnesota, but I wasn't sure until I just looked it up. He is from Hibbing, Minnesota.

Folks in Minnesota say the same thing about getting hockey players out of North Carolina! 😂😂
