Looking forward:
1. Will basketball be played: As scheduled? In January? At all?
2. Given it's an inside sport, will fans be allowed? with masks? at all?
3. Will the MEAC cancel sports out of fear until Fall 2021?

Basketball is a winter sport
My daughter will be playing basketball at a NC JUCO and their season will not start until 1/11/21 per JUCO sanctioning Body . They can begin practice late Sept. Volleyball was moved to Jan as well
I would assume NCAA will do something similar

I believe that basketball has a chance to begin play in January. It would probably be a conference-only schedule with the regular season champion going on the March Madness...no postseason conference tournaments across-the-board.
I think that the regular season will be played with parents, season ticketholders and a very limited number of students per game.
But that’s just MY prediction based on today’s environment.

I was surprised that all fall sports were cancelled. Specifically XC and Golf. There are few fans and both are outside. Of course the start of the race might be a problem , so I say wear a mask for the first mile.

Now that the Doom & Gloomers are trying to push this longterm heart problem narrative, it will be almost impossible to justify having any college sports until there is a vaccine.

Yes, now that this precedent has been set how will schools justify playing any sports in 5 months?
If you truly believe players will have longterm heart problems from Covid I dont see how you play sports even when a vaccine is first introduced. You would have to completely eradicate the disease from Earth before it would be safe to play sports again.

Myocarditis is no big deal. I only had a professor die from it after a minor viral illness. Nothing ever consequential happens from minor viral illness, like COVID, which ain't much more than the typical flu. Let's cough and kiss one another at Aggie Stadium and get back to playing some football. As long as we got a few mechanical ventilators and ECMO machines on standby on the sidelines, the team should be fine. Tell Ja-Maine Martin to pop a few hydroxychloroquine tablets before each game, too. With those pills in his system, he'll break Cohen's records in no time.
These measures, as well as standing for the national anthem, should make the college football season run smoothly, without any hitches.

If myocarditis is a legitimate concern then why are we even wasting our time thinking about playing sports in the spring?
Like I said, you would basically have to eradicate COVID entirely before it would be safe enough to play anything again.
I'm not a medical expert. (My man Dr. Wolfe is.) But I just need the level of fear to be consistent.

What am I missing here? I just sharing what Spencer Turkin tweeted. His words nor arent mine nor a reshare means I agree. I don't think any sports will be played this year and Fall 2021/Spring 2022 is a question mark, IMHO. We still don't know the long-term effects of the virus on people, especially African Americans.
