He got a bit emotional this afternoon talking about the outgoing seniors and missed opportunities.

It's a tough burden to bear right now. All I can do is just empathize with all of the employees and student-athletes. That, and help make sure we have enough money to honor all scholarships.

For me it may not all sink in until Labor Day....GHOE...FAMU...Central and CB!

I agree 100% with Hilton and feel his pain. That’s why I hope they do everything they can to get some games scheduled in the spring.
Virus is one thing, not figuring out the logistical side of it is not acceptable.

Is it just me, but couldn't this decision could have waited? Even if it means playing in a almost empty stadium if it comes to that. Maybe a vaccine will develop. ect. But the yard is the next best place to quarantine besides one's home. Isn't the team partly isolated anyway? (They used to be back in the day).
People are working with protection on. This could darn near close some schools (right?), maybe I'm wrong.

He basically said that was not really feasible, as I previously explained: Nah, that’s different. He said if everyone else plays in the fall, then we wouldn’t play in the spring. What if nobody plays in the fall, which is more likely.

That would still require a truncated schedule. Hilton doesn't want to waste precious eligibility on a 6 game schedule, as you suggested.
Unless you move football season to the spring permanently, you would have to make some major adjustments to get back on a Fall schedule at some point.

If A&T had autonomy, we'd be playing. Hilton clearly thinks we may be out on an island this fall, with other FCS conferences playing football. He's upset at the conference (AGAIN).
Matter of fact, if any other FCS conferences play, I would seek to get a portion of my exit fee back.

I wish they had looked at a conference only schedule as well just to by some time maybe not play in September and play all conference games in Oct / NOV.
My daughter received a scholarship to play bball at a JUCO in NC and there season will not start until 1/11/21; however, they can begin practice in September.
