No trues, I don't know that at all. That's my point. I was saying that the Big South sends money to the school to help cover the expense. Ok gotit. So that is a decision every Conf. decides. You can bet as cheap as Dennis is you on you own when it comes to video presentation equiq. monies to help each school. That's why the Big South produces nearly a thousand pieces of sports video content each year. ESPN is looking for content. The MEAC produced ...

Maybe NCCU is not interested in the BC . So it really doesn't matter. If the BS had invited them trust me they would at least had a special Board meeting to vote on this decision. I'm in touch with my home boy Tubby ( Maurice Spencer) a NCCU alumni and NFL DB for the New Orleans Saints ; from the conversations we have had of late the BS was never on NCCU's radar if anything it was the CAA and not the BS whose attention NCCU was looking to attract because of the level of competition , travel costs and exposure especially the revenue producing sports . Following after A&T is the last thing that NCCU would want to do ; kind of like the University of Texas Texas A&M relationship .

Man, CAA. That doesn't make sense at all, but I guess he would know better than me. And to do something against your interest just because A&T did it already is just dumb. Thats why I dont like them, LOL.

It wasn't what he said, its that he actually said it. He has a weekly FAQ where he answers questions from his constituents. We were left to guess and assume how the MEAC office handles it. And actually yes, his explanation on how the conference sends money to the schools to cover the expenses of broadcasting the games was new information to me. There were posters on MEACFANS saying that the ESPN+ was a bad deal, because you are required to broadcast your non-revenue sports and at a high quality. So this actually adds clarity and context to the deal. Are you sure the MEAC sends money to the schools to cover the expenses. Because unless a game is being covered with ESPN analyst I thought we use our on video equipment and you can tell the quality goes down. This commissional goes out to the media outlets and sells and informed everyone about the Big South. I have not ever seen Dennis(Meac C.) actually go out and sell the MEAC conf. and open to any questions. It is really smart how he is going about it. No, we don't get that Trues. We only get a flat check for the Thurs. night game. The games streamed to ESPN3 while in the MEAC are on our own. ESPN3 is the lowest streaming tier you can be on with ESPN.

About that flat check that MEAC teams get directly for broadcasting their prime home game(s) on ESPN 2 - it's 15k. That's it.
I went back over my notes from the last two years of AAF meetings with Earl on that specific question to double check.
The schools get nothing directly for being on ESPN 3 games except views and some exposure. The conference signed a contract for a set amount payable to the MEAC and then it's spread out to schools in accordance to whatever the conference split is with the bulk of the profit going to the conference office.

Is he on the Board or just talking from his personal opinion? Trust me Tubby is ingrained in the loop/Board at NCCU just as a few on here are . And I don't see there information and credibility questioned .
