What are your thoughts on this Westcoastaggie? You think in the next couple years you can see them moving all sports to the NEC?

I listened to the interview Howard’s AD gave concerning joining the NEC in 6 sports. Besides him saying the MEAC was their primary conference (slip?) he stated the contract with the SWAC stipulated Howard’s women soccer program play all their home games in Birmingham, Ala. I find that to be absolutely nuts. I do not know if I would have signed that contract. Also of note he stated Howard has played more schools from NEC, Patriot, and Ivy Leagues to develop relationships, recruitment, and because of the number of alumni they have in the northeast. Seems to me they are testing the waters.

I suspect that they're starting the advance work for a soft landing spot in a conference they could be highly competitive in (across their particular athletic spectrum) just in case the MEAC flounders over the next few years.
