I guess - all I know this year the MEAC has two teams in the top 25 and big south has 1 consistently overrated Kennesaw St. Which if I was a betting man 99% of the country has never even heard of this school.
I do get the psychy- and I don’t disagree with it. But that was yesterday’s world. We will see how it pans out with these new unapologetically black kids coming out now. Hopefully they will add NCCU and Norfolk. 4 hbcu schools in the Big South will do wonders for that conference.
Big South has two schools make it to the second round of the playoffs. Since 1999 the MEAC hasn’t made it out of the first round. KSU started football in 2015 and has more playoff victories in 4 years than the MEAC has had in 20. Monmouth moves to the BS in 2014 and has more playoff victories in 5 years than the MEAC in 20.
People hasn’t heard of Coastal Carolina either and they started football in 2003 and got a FBS invite based on playoff success. They were members of the big south conf too.
I want them to add NCCU and SCSU, makes most since from travel perspective and they are waaay better in football.
Would help their student recruitment too, they would get more publicity in SC playing schools in SC.

You fail to see the point . The SWAC unlike the MEAC functions as one conference but you are looking at the SWAC through the lenses of the MEAC and it's incompetent leadership and structure from the top down . Like it or not the SWAC has always had a vision that was fanbase and conference friendly that works for them and they like it that way and so do their fanbase, donors and institutions .
I get that. I'm just saying that mindset is good and creates a cohesive SWAC, but it doesn't necessarily support a collective move to FBS as a conference.
Like I said the SWAC will only move to the FBS only if they take the whole conference or they will not move at all .
