I forgot what our Attendance numbers were. I know that GHOE pushed the total numbers, but hey, the stadium is darn near half full anyway for most games. In a weird way it would look better on TV ( with Aggies sitting on the other side too).
Jeeze, let's make it( the stadium) ALL our's, somewhat like NCCU sitting on the other side ( who has no choice).

West Coast, seriously. Why do you always just assume the worse case scenario? Fall camp normally begins in late July every year. He said that most players are already working out on their own. There was nothing stated in the podcast that would suggest that the 2020 schedule would be reduced in any fashion. You're correct. For a clarification standpoint, the nine weeks would be inclusive of players reporting back to begin physical conditioning by the 4th of July. In essence, we would need to recoup the missed spring practice time (20 sessions) to be sufficiently prepared to play by Labor Day weekend. Maybe I'm missing it or not doing the math correctly. Isn't summer session virtual only? If so, students nor student athletes are on campus. So, how is July 4th going to work for reporting to camp when fall semester starts in August? No students on campus, no student athletes on campus, right??

Some Power 5 schools say if they only get six weeks to prepare, they will make it work.

I'm not sure why everybody is getting caught on summer school schedules and how soon players can get back on campus.
If the coaching staff and administration say they plan to have football in 2020 then rest assured they will do what they need to make it happen.
Almost no schools were able to complete spring camp this year so its not like we are currently at a competitive disadvantage.
And I seriously doubt we are gonna make up 20 practices of spring camp ... right before we start regular fall camp. That doesn't even make sense.
The guys would be totally exhausted by time the season started.

Ohio State game models show potential for 20,000-50,000 fans 3:55 PM ET Heather Dinich ESPN Senior Writer
Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith said Wednesday that his athletic department has run several social distancing models to consider having fans in stands at games this fall, and Ohio Stadium, with a normal capacity of more than 100,000, would hold a crowd closer to 20,000-22,000 fans but up to 40,000-50,000 "if guidelines are relaxed."
"We've played with that a little bit as a framework to start as we move forward and think about what we'd ultimately be allowed to do," Smith told reporters, before later clarifying the low-end estimate in a tweet.
"We're fortunate, with 100,000 seats in the stadium," he said. "So could we implement the current CDC guidelines, state guidelines around physical distancing, mask requirements and all those types of things in an outdoor environment and have obviously significantly less fans than we are used to? I think it's possible. I just feel like we have the talent and skill and space capacity to provide an opportunity for a certain number of fans to have access to our particular stadium. Of course that wouldn't be true across the country because of capacity. But I think we can get there."
With its seating capacity of 102,780, Ohio Stadium is the fourth-largest on-campus facility in the nation, according to the school's athletic website.
In order to determine who would get priority access to the limited seats available, Smith said the athletic department would first turn to the points system already in place but would also have to consider faculty, staff students, donors, media, parents and other groups.
"We have to look at those and come up with some strategies within those groups," Smith said. "Our point system has held the test of time, so that would probably be one, then of course the parents and the guests of our student-athletes and coaches would be a high priority. We'd come up with a strategy, but we haven't nailed that down."

"... if guidelines are relaxed."
Lol. Yall are silly as hell is you dont think guidelines will be "relaxed" come September.
College athletic departments are still trying to make up for the significant financial losses that they took this Spring. Aint no school about to turn away paying customers for their main revenue generator in the Fall.

I guess the Chancellor is silly as hell, because he just said that due to social distancing we will be limiting capacity to 5,000 - 6,000 seats this year. Also said it likely will be a conference only schedule this year, due to the various states opening up at different times and the amount of practice time required before the players can play a game.

This is May. Let's revisit this conversation in August. exactly! i don't think "anybody" can predict with certainty what the status of things will be almost 3 months from now, not even dr. martin. i think hilton hit the nail on the head when he stated in so many words that things can change rather quickly in the coming days and weeks. hilton very carefully chose his words and justifiably so. and btw, i've said this before, but whoever decided to hire spencer turkin as the new voice of aggie athletics knocked it out the park! that dude is the real deal, luv listening to his "play by play" calls...
