Not sure he is a draft prospect if they did not draft bell I really don't see him getting drafted his numbers just not there. If anything Leslie would be the favorite. he had better stats and more of a prototype body tall, lean and strong

A&T checks in at #19 in this still extremely early Top 25 FCS poll.

This is a fair assessment and about where I think we should be. Much better than last year, when this preseason poll didn't even give us votes.

I'm beginning to think our standard preseason rank is #19, I don't care if we go undefeated or win the CB. Across the FCS landscape we are positioned to drop out entirely if we falter in the opening weeks but would struggle to gain any ground because most top tier programs are playing FBS and voters won't drop them even if we win our non conference games.
It just seems every year we are right around that 19-20 mark.
Even if we were to defeat NDSU on the road and win another CB, I have $100 saying we'll be preseason #19 in 2021, any takers?

I actually just looked at the list after my previous post, and at least we are ahead of the Rattlers, lol.

i think the poll is "relatively" fair to us. "to me", winning the celebration bowl over a swac conference champion whose conference is even lower rated than the meac is not "fcs nationally" impressive "to me". yeah, i know we had an impressive victory over jacksonville state a couple years ago, but that was just "1 game" and it was a couple years ago.
i'm impressed with our win over ecu and somewhat impressed with our win over unc charlotte. but those wins were also a couple years ago and they don't justify us being ranked fcs top 10. any top 10 ranked fcs team could've beaten those teams during the seasons we beat them.
now if we were beating playoff quality teams year in and year out, that would be different. but to me, the best team we beat last year was elon and elon is not even ranked and wasn't ranked in the final 2019 poll. so i don't usually get too geeked out over polls.
but i expect us to be at or near the top of hbcu polls because we've proven ourselves against "the best" hbcu teams. but we have not proven ourselves against the best fcs teams. however, we'll have a chance to do so this year if we're able to play ndsu...
