ain't gotta jump to use the legs when shooting. free throw shooters use their legs essentially 100% of the time without jumping...

I thought that cock-back set shot didn't look like his normal shooting motion in his clips. Thanks for the context. That's a pretty talented adjustment to the physical limitation. It won’t stop the arm chair coaching though.

well, some of us have actually played, coached, and officiated basketball all our lives. its called "basic fundamentals". ain't nothing rocket science about "basic fundamentals".
any rec league coach in the country can tell you the proper mechanics for shooting a basketball and proper knee bend is a part of it. now, if the doctor tells you can't bend your knees, then you ought not be using your knees for "weight lifting" exercises...

Got off the kids back ! You'll have plenty of time for that ones he gets here ! Also Keith Silk Wilkes had a Unorthodox shot that no one could change and few could block . It's the coaching staff's job to assist in correcting any flaws in his game . Now we will see if Jones can really coach and develop theses young players. I have my doubts but we will see.

That makes it official, we are definitely in sports down time 🤦🏾♂️ dude, its called "constructive" criticism and in case you haven't noticed, its very "prevalent" in the sports world. this is "choir boy" stuff compared to what you'd find at major d1 schools. can't stand the heat, then get out the kitchen. if you can't take "constructive" criticism, then he should go play overseas somewhere where they don't criticize basketball players as much as they do in the usa. if bron can be criticized, then why can't he? stop treating dude like he's some kind of a baby or somethin'. welcome to big time basketball and learn to bend those knees...

What if it was a specific exercise to work on his range and to work on his form? Who knows but him and his trainer, right?

As was indicated in him saying doctor instruction to not jump. I also saw him indicate it in some other post/video several months ago. As a result, any assessments of what the latest videos show should consider they (assessments) don't know what's really going on until we find out more detail about what surgery Duncan had and how he's been told to rehab.

If his shot is that consistent from that range why change it? It's effortless, and the wrist action is sound.

Not so Doctors will tell you the same thing if you have a severe ankle strain or injury , strained instep, severe shin splints , strained Achilles tendon, and mostly any strain to your lower and upper core muscles groups because you need both in order to maximize your jumping abilities.
