S C State, Bethune, Rattlers, Morgan
Don't have to play both Florida teams every year. Maybe one a year or every two years to save traveling money. Never play both teams in one season. We might can throw Norfolk and Howard in the mix every now and then.
We got to play Central every year, no doubt.

NON-MEAC SCHOOLS Tennessee State in all sports (Some of you might remember our great FB & MBB rivalry back in the '80s...very intense!) Winston-Salem State if they ever come back to Division I.

We should keep Florida schools off the schedule. We changed conferences to reduce costs. Flying to Florida is a waste of money.
We should play NSU, Howard, and Morgan.
We have a loyal and finically supportive Alumni base that we have given the shaft.
We need to play in the DMV as much as possible.

NCCU and SC State are the only MEAC schools I'd like to play in all sports. Don't care if we never play FAMU again unless there's a really big pay check for us.

NCCU is the only definite for me. I would like see somae type of rotation with Howard, Norfolk, & Morgan for selfish reasons. SCSU is optional, but if we didn’t play them I wouldn’t mind. Though we have a long history with FAMU, I don’t see the benefit of an annual meeting now. Maybe a home & home every five years or so. I know this is about preferred MEAC schools, but I would prefer to play ELON every year.

NCCU for obvious reasons, Norfolk, Howard and SCSU. Regionally friendly and great for the Marching Band. I also agree with Aggie77 playing Elon. With the right promotions I can see that game becoming the next near capacity annual football game. I'm glad the higher ups want us to be seen as more than just an HBCU.

Elon...Elon...over Howard, Norfolk, or Morgan. I don’t see it. We aren’t listening to our Hampton cousins at all.
The only way this move will be palatable to our fanbase is if there is a strong mix of HBCUs on the schedule.
There is a reason our admin was talking up playing the likes of NCCU and FAMU when this thing was announced.
They studied this move for 5 years and even had one committee member vote against this change.
Playing Elon and Charleston Southern when you are in a HBCU conference is one thing...but not playing HBCUs when you are in a PWC conference is another.
We don’t want to end up like TSU and have folk only come out for homecoming and when we play other HBCUs.
At some point in time you have to give the fans what they want or the program will suffer.
I remember when the Celebration Bowl was announced and folks on this board decried the move...but the fans embraced the game.
A schedule with only one or two HBCUs won’t work for AGGIE fans.
Hampton - Conference NCCU - OOC rival NSU - OOC regional game that’s good for the fans, band, etc Howard - OOC regional game that’s good for the fans, band, etc.
Same can be said about SCSU. Those HBCU games would be marked our our fans calendars no way we can escape or avoid it...we are who we are.

NCCU is a given.
We definitely need to keep a relationship with MEAC schools in the DMV. One of things i looked forward to in moving to the DMV from Dallas was the ability to support our teams. So definitely need to play Howard or Morgan.
I do not see us playing Bethune or Del State that often. Before the move I would have loved to play Southern or Jackson in the CB. We owe PV because of that lost in LA. I am petty so I want to beat Alabama State too. I think us vs Tenn State would be a decent draw.
It will be interesting to see if playing FAMU will matter as much because we will be in different conferences. The intensity between the schools was a good thing.
SCSU- really concerned about them maintaining their D1 status given COVID and their enrollment numbers.
NSU- good for the band and they travel well.

NCCU is obvious. Everyone else on a rotational basis. Our new post season objective is the playoffs so we can't afford to load our schedule with middle of the road or bottom MEAC teams. We must craft a schedule that gives us a good opportunity for an at large bid.
Nccu (possible Labor Day) Wake Forest (or $ game) Charleston Southern Top 25 FCS Team such as Furman/SCSU or FAMU (2 yr home and home) Elon Gardner Webb (GHOE) Monmouth Campbell North Alabama Kennesaw State Hampton

Any bets on whether or not we will end up playing Hampton as our season-ending Big South Conference game??

Winning and being competitive will bring the fans. What has TSU done lately in that respect. When the Cole Brothers were there, the fans were there. When do Hampton’s fan show up? Admittedly, I’ve only been to Hampton when the Aggies were in town, if that any representation of fan support, then I’m confused by the continued comparison. Also, playing HBCUs, and specifically FAMU is a two way street, The Administration can have all the wants in the world internally, but an external agreement has to reached.

Besides Central and why? Any other non MEAC HBCUs would you like to see us schedule? As a bonus question, do you all think we could (or should) leverage our success in Atlanta by engaging Tenn State or Alabama State or Florida A&M in an annual Classic game in MB Stadium?

The rental fees for The Benz is $600K. It’s not worth it.
