I've been going back and looking at some of those old A&T games like the rest of y'all and boy.......Hicks was REALLY good. He played during an era where the run game was all we had and Hicks was practically our ENTIRE offense. Such an incredibly special player who we sadly only had for two years. The guy was lightening in a bottle. Thanks Mo HIcks!!!

That is why I suggested going back and look at the 2000-2001 games, especially the famu games and Hampton. He was something special.

Hicks was the man. If he had played 4 full seasons his records may not have been broken.
I still think he is the best running back to play for A&T.

Hicks being observed as the best ever is definitely a worthy argument and I agree with the sentiment that he would of shattered our record books and been untouchable had he played a full four years. He was the first Aggie running back that I knew of personally to singlehandedly TERRORIZE the opposing team. I'm sure that some older posters have vivid memories of other backs from the 70s and 60s, but for me....Hicks was sooooo dominant and an absolute joy to watch if you were an Aggie fan.....and a nightmare to watch if you were the opposing team. LOL.

Hey Thrilla....didn't you used to have a video clip with all of his Aggie highlights up on YouTube? I can't find it. I see one that has his professional highlights, but not his collegiate.

I don't know what happened to that YouTube video called, "The 'Mo Show." It was about 3 minutes long and had all of his great runs...most of them against FAMU. I had it saved on one of my old laptops. Folks here in Tallahassee are still traumatized from Hicks' visits to Bragg Stadium!
(Some woman has a series of "The 'Mo Show" up now. She probably got a copyright on the name and had the Hicks video taken down, I guess.)

I would like to see the great runs against SCSU at Panther Stadium in Charlotte, the so called battle of the Border games.

I told a Bison he was better than Herschel in college. The Bison got mad and said "when did you ever see Herschel?"
My simple reply "in 1981 in Sanford Stadium."
He was like death and taxes. You knew it was coming, it was just a matter of when.
A once in a generation talent, and considering he was coming not far behind James White, Mike Basnight, and Mo Smith, that says a ton.

It's not like A&T wasn't RBU before Hicks got there....but I be damn if he didn't elevate the game. Does another HBCU have as rich a legacy at the RB position like we do?? Man we keep a stud in the backfield.

Guess it depends on how far you want to go back ... Jackson State had Peyton , Lewis Tillman-Bears Harrington Eagles-Jeff Moore and Ricky Young both had as good careers as Hicks... OF course , I don't know their college rushing statistics

I recall the game against Morgan State in Baltimore back in 2001. He single handed almost beat Morgan but we could not defend the pass.He ran for over four hundred yards. To me he was great, maybe not as agile as Cohen or as fast as Cohen and Martin but more power.

I remember waking up the next day and reading the stats and thinking it was a misprint. LOL. Does another athlete have a single game or event that is the equivalent of rushing for 400+ yards in a single game? Did any hoops player drop 60+ points? Any track athlete set a world record? I will yield to the Aggie athletic historians in here. Most of yall have seen far more games and events than me. But running for 400+ yards is INSANE.
