would luv for someone to go to the event and ask him if he has plans to ever play football again, particularly in the nfl but also the xfl or the usfl. personally, i know basketball players may eventually comeback from an achilles injury, but i'm not aware of professional football players who did it. not saying football players have not recovered from an achilles injury, just that i don't know of any.
because of his size, i'm confident that tarik was successful in the nfl because he "outworked" most guys. but it would be very difficult to outwork dudes after you've recovered from an achilles injury...

T. Suggs & D. Thomas are the only ones that I can think of .

Anybody that knows anything about this young man knows there was no way his career was gonna end like that. I believe The Kid will absolutely make another NFL roster.

let's not get too excited. i mean, being "healthy" doesn't mean you're in "nfl shape". i'm afraid that his achilles injury resulted from putting too much stress on that area of his body due to offseason training. my concern is that he may not be able to put in the kind of work "physically" that he is accustomed to when preparing for an nfl season.
because of his size, i think tarik's past success in the nfl could largely be attributed to tarik "out working" a lot of other nfl players. so now i'm afraid that his rehabbed achilles won't allow him to do that as far as "weight training" goes. but clearly i'm wishing him the absolute best and i'm praying that he will find his way onto another nfl "active" 53 man roster. realistically? i think that's gonna be difficult for him to do.
fortunately, he'll have other options if the nfl doesn't pan out...

His former head coach, Matt Nagy, is the offensive coordinator with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Not only that this year is already over for him it sound like he will not even play until next year which make him 29 years old that make him a old man in NFL age. I wish him the best.

Players are always getting hurt. Someone will need a Tarik Cohen type running back later this season.

Someone will need a Tarik Cohen type running back later this season. true, and the good news about tarik is that he was being used as much as a "receiver" as he was as a running back. if he's not able to "weight train" his lower body as much as he did before the injury, he stands a better chance to succeed as a "slot receiver" which is far less physical than running back. either way, i still think its gonna be an uphill climb for our guy cohen. i've got this poster of cohen (below) hanging on the wall in my home exercise room...
