Like I said before "Chicago has a history of misusing the talents of small RB's " and I don't see it changing anytime soon even with Foles at QB . I can almost guarantee if The Kid was in Kansas City or New England's system he would be ranked amongst the best utility back's in the NFL and not just a glorified kick returner. The Kid needs a OC/system that knows how to create space . His talent is being wasted in Chicago and Foles is not going to change anything in my opinion. Chicago's offense is supposed to be similar to KC's. But when you have Trubisky as their QB, it definitely slows you down. This right here!

I watched Mahomes, speaking as a guest on The Barber Shop and he spoke on how his learning curve is so big, because the defenses are getting smarter, he stated that he saw defenses this year that he never saw last year and how he constantly has to improvise each game, Trybuiski, doesn't have that skills set or experience.

Just saw something on the Internet rumours about trading The Kid if true this might explain why they were saving the The Kid to keep him from being damaged/injured. Man wow but again it is actually a business decision.

With Nick Foles, signed by Chicago, I predict a rebirth of Cohen’s NFL splash!, What say you? The Bears are reporting a open competition, there is no competition, and they are seemingly not big on taking on the Tribuisky’s fifth year option, open door for Cam! Would not count on this given their history they over look both Mahomes and Watson.

The Bears have declined the 5th-year option on Trubisky. Now, if they just bench him and let Foles be the QB, Cohen and every other offensive player on Chicago will have a production renaissance!!!

heavy.com/sports/chicago-bears/matt-nagy-tarik-cohen-injury-return/Matt Nagy Walks Back Tarik Cohen Comments, Potential Replacements Emerge
Tarik Cohen of the Chicago Bears has yet to practice after tearing his ACL Week 3 last season. The return of Tarik Cohen remains one of the biggest mysteries surrounding the Chicago Bears this upcoming season. The play-making gadget back and All-Pro punt returner has been recovering from a torn ACL sustained Week 3 of last season, and considering Cohen was spotted walking with a limp and favoring his leg at the start of training camp, he very likely won’t be ready until after the regular season begins. When he was asked on August 3 whether Cohen’s return would be a matter of days or a matter of weeks, Bears head coach Matt Nagy said one thing before backtracking a few days later. It’s Looking Like Later Rather Than Sooner for CohenWhen speaking with the media on August 3, Nagy said this when asked about Cohen’s return: “I would not say days, you know. I would lean more toward weeks for him. I don’t want to put a timeline. Like you say that, and that is very general for me. It’s all going to be day-by-day on how much growth he has or improvement. … I just feel like he is doing everything he can to get that thing right. So, I hate to put a benchmark on it or a time frame, you know. It’s just neat seeing him rehab and in the meantime that is all we can ask him to do.” Then, a few days later on August 5, Nagy said this about Cohen when initially asked about rookie tackle Teven Jenkins’ injury: “I thought about this after we talked the other day when you all asked me that question about Tarik Cohen. I don’t think that was fair what I said to Tarik in regards to days and weeks. That’s not fair to somebody … to put a timeline on somebody. These guys are all different in how they react to things and what they do.” Very true. It’s good Chicago is being cautious with Cohen’s return. ACL tears aren’t the type of injuries you rush back from, and Chicago has managed to find a few capable role players in Cohen’s absence. Bears Have Solid Replacements for Cohen on Special Teams & in BackfieldFormer Kansas City Chiefs postseason standout Damien Williams should be more than capable of filling Cohen’s shoes in the backfield. Williams played in 27 games in his two seasons with the Chiefs, starting nine. He rushed for 754 yards on 161 carries (that’s 4.7 yards per carry) with 13 total touchdowns. “He’s been great,” Nagy said about Williams. “He understands the offense. There’s some changes that we have versus what he’s been through there in particular in Kansas City, but him and David (Montgomery)and Tarik, they’ve all really taken over that room and they fit really well together. As far as the player on the field, I think it goes to show what he can do not only as a ball carrier but as a pass catcher.” As for who might take Cohen’s role as the team’s primary punt returner, rookie Khalil Herbert has been the only player getting reps in that role, per Nicholas Moreno of the Chicago Audible. While at Kansas and Virginia Tech, Herbert returned kicks, not punts, but he was quite good at it. He returned 18 kicks during his college days, averaging 24.8 yards per return. Based on early events in training camp, it’s looking like he’ll be the one filling Cohen’s role on special teams.

When Cohen returns, coach Matt Nagy will be getting his favorite weapon back. He’ll need more time, but the expectation seems to be that he’ll be back by the season opener.
By Jason Lieser Aug 3, 2021, 5:34pm CDT The last time the Bears’ offense was decent, running back Tarik Cohen was at the center of it. He was coach Matt Nagy’s favorite player in 2018, when the Bears — strongly aided by their defense — finished ninth in the NFL in points. Nagy seemed to have limitless imagination with Cohen as a runner and receiver and even schemed for him to throw a touchdown pass at the goal line. Those Bears were fun to watch, and Cohen was the star of the show. Nagy would really like to get that back. In the two seasons since, the offense has spiraled, Cohen has disappeared, and punting enthusiasts are the only ones who enjoy watching Bears games. A healthy, committed Cohen could get the party going again. Although he missed the first week of training camp as he works back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, Nagy believes the Bears are “absolutely” going to get the dynamic version of Cohen from a few years ago. “He showed in ’18 the different ways you can use him,” Nagy said. “The coordinators I talked to, that was one of the No. 1 guys everyone wanted to stop.” Cohen led the offense with 1,169 yards from scrimmage that year (more than 20% of the team total) and was an All-Pro punt returner — the Bears’ most compelling playmaker since Devin Hester. The thrill might have gone to Cohen’s head; he said his work ethic wavered in the offseason that followed. It showed, too, as he slipped from 4.5 yards per carry in 2018 to 3.3 in 2019, and from 10.2 yards per catch to 5.8. He came back determined to re-establish himself last season and made such a strong impression that the Bears signed him to a three-year, $17.3 million extension after just two games. But in the third game, he suffered a season-ending knee injury while returning a punt. The Bears are taking it slowly with his recovery, and Nagy said Tuesday he believes it’s still a matter of weeks, rather than days, until Cohen takes his first step back on the practice field. The Mayo Clinic projects a typical recovery time of nine months for a torn ACL, with some athletes needing a full year; Cohen had his surgery in early October. Giants running back Saquon Barkley tore his ACL against the Bears the week before Cohen went down and is still on the physically-unable-to-perform list. The season opener against the Rams is Sept. 12 in Los Angeles. “I don’t want to [give] a timeline,” Nagy said. “I do know this: Every single day, Tarik is in that training room. Every day. He is doing everything he can to get that thing right. That’s all we can ask him to do.” In the meantime, the Bears are relying on David Montgomery and newly acquired Damien Williams at running back. Williams has shown versatility similar to Cohen’s over his six-year career, including a career average of eight yards per catch and 711 yards from scrimmage for the Chiefs in 2019. The Bears also loaded up with as much speed as they could find at wide receiver by adding Marquise Goodwin and Damiere Byrd to go along with Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney. Throwing in a healthy Cohen, who had 1,534 yards receiving over his first three seasons, could give the Bears one of the top groups of playmakers in the NFL.
