How do we go from beating VCU and Clemson to getting tripled by nccu? That would be the loss of the Preseason MEAC Player of the Year. Not rocket science.

Neither one of those teams I saw today were very good. Central is clearly better. 3 wins in a season leaves no doubt. Most worrisome is that Central is a pretty young team. Coach Rob just needs 1 or 2 game-changing recruits. Recruiting is his claim to fame, so let’s see what happens. I’m not out on Coach Rob just yet.

cc played in both of those games, that's how. unc had a winning record (6-4) before cole anthony went down, but they went 4-7 while he was out. when you lose your best player, it will likely detrimentally impact the performance of your team. we're a much better team when cc is in the lineup... Agree with you 100% about CC.....Please watch 4th QTR of today's game in particular last 2 minutes then let me know what you observed close games are when we miss her the most, she can create her own shot and can score inside or outside. she was our best scorer and she made everybody else better. winters was far more dangerous when cc was still playing... This team did not grow after CC’s injury.... The seniors on the team did not take collective leadership of the team after CC’s injury.... The coach did a poor job of remodeling the team after CC’s injury.....
CC, by her absence, has proven to be the de facto MEAC player of the year.
The 2019-20 season will go down as one of (if not) the most disappointing seasons in women’s basketball. My optimism about this program’s health steadily wanes. Another thing....it may be cool to brag about all of these high-level recruits we’re getting, but if: 1) They don’t look much better as seniors as they did freshman 2) The staff can’t mold them into a quality unit ....you can miss me on the premature accolades.
Alexander got called to the carpet... Joyner got called to the carpet...
Coach Rob ain’t immune from criticism, especially when it’s justly deserved.

N Most worrisome is that Central is a pretty young team. they actually only have 3 major impact players. to me, kieche white is their best player, she is a guard who scores inside and outside and she killed us today. she's the girl with the red hair and she's a junior. then they have a kid named paulina afriyie who is a forward stands about 5'11" tall, averages a half point more than white (14.5) and leads the team in scoring, she's a senior. but they do have a freshman who is very talented, her name is anissa rivera, she's long, stands about 6'1" tall, very athletic and averages 13ppg. they are central's "big 3", nobody else on the team averages more than 6ppg. white and rivera are dc area talent, rivera went to high school down the road from my house. white and rivera will be back next season, afriyie won't. i don't think we have to worry too much about the rest of their roster next season...

After watching the ladyaggies up close, it is plain to see that they did not lack hustle just the fundamentals. The young lady K.White for Central had the ability to get to the hoop and finish and we can't make a layup to save our souls.I think coach needs to rethink his philosophy and concentrate on teaching the fundamentals like dribbling, shooting and feeding the low post for next year.Once again we have a large freshman class coming in along with a couple of season transfers and the chance to be special. The class, on paper, is stellar and I hope they can develop into their full potential.
I also notice that K.Ross was not on the bench and was not mentioned in the write up on the recap of potential players for next year,an omen.

When you're winning, nobody cares if you can't hit layups or open jump shots...and we've been winning in recent years. But this year when we had one key player get injured, our inability to do the basics became obvious.
This is not the first year our players couldn't hit layups or open jump shots. It's been a staple of our team for years. That's why we struggle in OOC games at the start of the season. But once we get in conference play those shortcomings aren't a big deal. Mainly because most MEAC teams can't hit layups or open jump shots either. And as long as we play in a league where other teams lack players that can do the basic, we'll be okay.

Hey '69, we gone be in another league very soon. You right, the competition in our present conference is average at best.
However, that does not excuse players being on the team 4 years and still can't make a junior high lay up, miss free throws on a regular basis and play poor defense and make bad passes.
That is coaching all day long and it has been going on for years under our present coach.
I know he is likable and suppose to be a good recruiter, but damn he needs to have someone put some fire under his azz.
He has gotten too comfortable in his position and thinks no one will get in his azz.
That is one of the problems, he feels he is invincible in his position. In all honesty, he is an average coach at best and if he was at another school or conference he might be unemployed by now.
We need new blood and a breath of fresh air to get our program back on track. Right now the program is stale, stagnant and predictable.
