I need to see some Hoops, hopefully on my phone while at Work. Especially the Aggies. Will the games be streamed? I have been living with the radio link ( which times out smh). And with our Video call with Spence and Coach.
What's locked in? anyone know? Flo-Hoops? I'm going up Friday.
I believe that the Women play NCCU at noon on Thur. ( that seems too late in the week)
"Now is the Time"!!!

With all due respect, I will be so glad when we're done with FloSports. Totally agree. 3x the price of espn player with a fraction of the games. Going to miss wednesday’s game as tip off will be 2am for me and it’s a school night!!

hail, i could probably count on 2 hands the amount of folk so frustrated by flosports that it justifies leaving a conference. nonetheless, i'm only interested in watching our men's game on wednesday and our women's game on thursday so that i'll know whether i will make the trip for friday's games. but since flosports will cover all games except the finals, i'll probably watch a couple of non-aggie games too just to get a feel for how the rest of the teams are playing.
our men will have to play the winner of the scsu/howard game, likely to be scsu. our women will definitely play nccu on thursday. i'll have to watch from my smart phone since i'll be at work for the women's game...

Folks like me who paid the $150 annual fee and Pommie (who would like to watch his son play for us for $5 per month on ESPN+ instead of $30 per month) can appreciate this aspect of the move. There is just almost zero chance that this setup increases our digital reach. And that's a big part of why we have to leave in order to grow.

I've watched FloSports and have not had a problem. Every day there is a new talking point from the Big (little) South crowd as to justification for leaving the MEAC. The reality is it was a stupid, clandestine, corruptly orchestrated move, which was made in the dark because they could not sell it to the majority of Aggies on its merits. As much as folks on this thread trash the MEAC and cheer lead the financial situations of our HBCU brethren, the truth is the BS is a fledgling, low mid-major with small schools in small markets, who are marginally better athletically than the MEAC schools in some sports. Actually, this "horizontal" move is a step down because of the loss in the rivalry aspect of the MEAC, our culture and tradition and the overall diminution of our brand by joining this conference.

I'm willing to give this move a chance. This was not something our Admin entered into lightly. Great points have been made on both sides, but as a University a decision has been made. If what I'm hearing from the Alumni meetings the AD is speaking at there is a lot more to this move than just what was announced in the press. I look forward to the meeting in my area later this month. It will take some time to make the adjustment. The stories I hear about when A&T left the CIAA are a history lesson we need to revisit now.

i don't know what leaving the ciaa for the meac was like back in those days. but i do know there's a big difference between leaving an hbcu conference in order to join another hbcu conference, as opposed to leaving an hbcu conference to join a pwc conference...

I'm curious to see who our new rivals will become within the Big South Conference. I can see the HPU bball games picking up steam similar to the A&T vs UNCG games. Radford University seems like future fun competition. They seem to be the most interactive with Hampton and we're a lot livelier than Hampton as well as a lot closer. I've lived in the Roanoke area for a few years in the past and they are very familiar with Greensboro as it's the closest place to attend celebrity featured concerts. If you want to visit Radford just take Battleground Ave all the way up through VA and make a left at the fork in rd. The travel is simple lol Some of the other Universities are already acclimated to us from seeing our crowds during the previous football seasons. No matter the sport, job or function "we/us folk" hate being at the bottom amongst ourselves so I'm sure the Hampton rivalry will take on a new intense meaning going forward. Hamptons marching band director is our former composer and their band has grown tremendously. Look for some insane band battles to occur in the near future. See link below youtu.be/4jdI4oR2MmoThis move may not be as big of a snoozefest as everyone is predicting.
