Blunt is a solid player.....but dude is not better than either Kam or Ron. He will likely get POY because he puts up close to 20 points. This dude ain't better than our big 2.

Looking back at the play-by-play on the box score tells a tale. ncataggies.com/boxscore.aspx?path=mbball&id=2533By the time Jibri Blount picked up his 1st (and only) foul of the game with 2:42 left, A&T had shot 14 FTs, while NCCU had attempted 20. This was right before the point that A&T began strategically fouling for data normalization purposes. A&T: 12 of 14 (83.3%) NCCU: 15 of 20 (75.0%) Given the level of contact allowed in the game and the fact that we came in averaging 29.4 FT attempts per MEAC game.... it's pretty outrageous to me that we only finished with 17 FT attempts, when our FT shooting actually kept us in the game. But Blount not getting a foul called on him for 37 minutes... there's no way the tape justifies that. Even with all of this, if Andre doesn’t go 0-7 from downtown, hitting around 30%, we win in regulation.

i'd take ron jackson over blount any day of any week and then some! not even close as far as i'm concerned. to me, blount is basically a power forward with limited versatility. but jackson can play both forward positions and he has "tons" of versatility and athleticism.
last night the espnu commentators speculated on jackson's potential to play in the nba, but not a peep out of them regarding blount's ability to play in the nba.
if we're on the playground and i'm picking my team with the option of picking between blount and jackson, it'll be a "no brainer". i'm picking jackson hands down and that is not my "aggie bias" speaking...

We know there was some home cooking plus some on those eagles player played out out there element. if we play them on neutral court trust me we will win big

Home Cooking was in the house Thursday and Central had a player that avg 5pts a game play out his mind then other night.Jones Coached to the end and guys made FT Good sign that Maye got his shot back 17 pts but the Key to beating Eagles Jackson needs to have a big game and our other Big needs to stay out of foul trouble.

Yes. But that was nearly impossible to do in that environment without Kwe and with Ron/Dev getting BS calls putting them in foul trouble. For as much potential as Harry & Fred have over the next 3 seasons... it was clear that they couldn't play man defense in a road environment like that. The game was a little too big for both freshmen. We needed Kwe.... but it's much more important to have him ready for Wednesday night in Norfolk. That would give him 8 days to heal. And we never had any type of lead in the last 10 minutes to be playing keep-away. We actually did that some at SCSU.... in addition to running some half-court sets since SCSU doesn't stream, so there was no video proof. There was none of that at NCCU. But it will be there if we need it in Norfolk.

In all honesty, winning or losing the NCCU game didn't change that much. We still gotta win the tournament. With our record, even with winning the tournament, we'll likely be in the play-in game. To be honest, the team which scares me the most is Bethune Cookman.....and they're on Central's side of the bracket. Looking across the MEAC bracket, there are no easy outs. I still think we are the most talented team in conference. We just gotta be ready for the "5-on-8" games we may encounter, especially if we have to go up against Norfolk State.

BTW, if we win MEAC tourney, I'm on my way to Dayton. Something tells me we'll end up matching up against the Pirates once they finish up in the Big South in the 16-16 game, oh the irony, lol.
I believe in previous years the committee has tried not to pair the SWAC and MEAC champs in the opening round games because of the optics. In this case committee probably just sees it as the worst 2 teams in the field MEAC (HBCU) vs Big South (non HBCU).
Already seen flights and hotels, just waiting on the Aggies.
