i don't understand al the angst behind losing to nccu this season. i mean, of course we never wanna lose to the buzzards but if we do, it ain't like its the end of the world. nor is finishing as the 4th seed the end of the world either. look, before this season the lady aggies' record against the lady buzzards since returning to the meac was 20 wins to 1 loss. add this season and its 20 wins to 3 losses. hail, what did some of ya'll expect, that we'd never lose to them? i get it that we're not used to losing to the lady buzzards. but shyt happens, we loss to them twice this season but its not the end of the world. we finished 4th and its not the end of the world either. i can understand being disappointed because i certainly am. but i don't understand why folk freak out because we've only loss 3 out of the last 23 games against the lady buzzards. hail, that's an 87% winning percentage over the lady buzzards which equates to the lady buzzards beating us 13% of the time over the last 23 games. so to me, "big deal" we loss to the lady buzzards this year. but that's no reason to freak out. we're still only 1 doggone win away from having another 20 win season. i mean, the sky ain't exactly falling. geeesh... Feel free to recite whatever stat you would like to justify your stance. I dare you to find one person who goes to the women's games to tell you that something is not right with this program. I personally knew CC's injury would be huge. However, the lack of growth/progression this team has had since she went down is GLARINGLY DISAPPOINTING. Whether the Lady Eagles have beaten us 1, 2, 10, or 100 times in our history is irrelevant to me. What is relevant is.....THE STATE OF LADY AGGIES BASKETBALL. Keeping it real here - the first adjective that comes to mind when Lady Aggies basketball is mentioned is STALE! We have become STALE. Keeping it real 2.0.......MEAC STALE equates to a BIG SOUTH STENCH. I'm not trying to go into the BS with a limp. This program needs to tighten up or we will get exposed.....and rather quickly, when the 2021-22 program rolls around.

Well, it is kinda a big deal since the losses make A&T the 4th seed, and if they advance in the tournament, they'd have to play Bethune. Also, the way the non-conference schedule went, we could possibly look to makin a splash at the "big dance." The team didn't reach expectations, that's all. I'm with "AggieBlackie" that I didn't expect Foy's injury to have such a negative effect on the team, but her contributions apparently couldn't be quantified (she averaged 11ppg, not a great number). .....to just look at points per game to judge a player's worth is lazy.

yeah but cc by far was our best "one-on-one" player which means she could create her own shot if the rest of the team ain't scoring. when your best "one-on-one" player goes down, it absolutely does adversely affect the entire team. don't believe me, ask roy williams what happened to the heels after cole anthony went down with a knee injury this season? ain't cole anthony just one player?
so i still say losing to nccu is not a big deal cuz even if we lose to nccu again next week, it won't erase the accomplishments of this program since coach rob took over from coach bibbs. it ain't the end of the world. if the season ended today, it would still be a successful season given the circumstances. 4th out of 11 teams? there's 7 other meac teams who had rather finish 4th than where they finished.
and i don't wanna hear nothing about no doggone preseason expectations. often preseason predictions are dead wrong. plus, preseason expectations can't predict injuries. preseason expectations didn't know that coach rob would lose his best and most experienced "one-on-one" player. from my perspective, our program has built itself some benefit of the doubt "cushion" due to its consistent success over the last 10 to 15 years. so i don't freak out just because things didn't turn out the way this season that i would've preferred.
yes, i too would like to win the championship and beat nccu every year. but that's a very "unrealistic expectation". short of uconn's ladies basketball, few if "any" teams win their conference and beat their top rival every year uninterupted...

Good points......but I remain concerned with the growth of this team. We're a senior laden team that is still trying to find itself. That's not a good sign. And again, we'll be in the Big South in 2 years (whether we like it or not). We are not good enough right now to be "Big South good."

Not freaking out OSA, just my opinion. With the transfers added to a team that went undefeated in the MEAC last year we "still" should have not lost to supposedly inferior teams, even with the loss of CC.
CC was great and important but she was not averaging 25 ppg and pulling down 15 rebounds a game.
That is why I am disappointed in our record.

CC was the Preseason MEAC POY. With her size and athleticism she was by far the greatest mismatch on the floor night in night out on both ends. She was an dual threat, inside and on the perimeter, able to finish in transition, and hit from deep. Her defensive presence was also sorely missed as she could essentially eliminate opponents best player, while still playing passing lanes and getting those transition buckets started with steals.
Not trying to compare the two but what happened when to the Warriors when Steph got hurt, them cats done won like 18 game this year. It's hard to replace an all world players, teams to regress. Just saying.

from my perspective, its time to move on and hopefully beat the lady buzzards in norfolk. if so, it'll make up for the 2 regular season losses. if not, it won't be the end of the world. its still been a successful season and we still have next season to make amends. we'll come back strong next season if it ends next week.
to be honest, i'm just glad that so many aggies care that much about lady aggie basketball and hold them to such "high standards". that's something that this program can be proud of...

It pains me to say this but I have no expectations for the Ladyaggies in Norfolk. There are at least three teams(BC,NCCU and Morgan) that give us problems. Our inability to score (vs NCCU 24.3% FG. 22.2% 3pt. 60.0% FT.) and lack of care for ball does not bore well. Our main advantage(height)is being render ineffective when contested. Hope we can get everything worked out by Thurs. I will be there to cheer us on.

If we are not successful in Norfolk next week, it is time for NSS to get his list out.

This team has no leader leadership . I understand what NHSS is saying about Foy's worth .It's not the points but her leadership skills on the floor .
