How long do you expect us to stay in the Big South?

Some people have stated that they believe this was just a springboard move to help propel us to something bigger and better, possibly the FBS ranks.

What are you expectations?

If we win 2-3 conference championships the first four years in football, win multiple games in the playoffs, track continues to dominate, basketball is consistently top 3, I wouldn’t expect us to be there long. If we’re middle or bottom of the pack,I think we’ll be there a while.

I really want to see the athletic budget these folks think we're going to use to "springboard" to the FBS. I think that's a lofty goal but we're a long way away from that. I just hope we become the dominant player in the Big South in 2 to 3 years, then start thinking about the next level.

10+ Years is reasonable enough time to get the campus growth in order, secure more corporate sponsorships, increase athletic budget and carefully plot out our next move

5 - 10 years is a realistic goal. it allows us to prepare financially for any move and condition the fanbase to this new environment.

The only way 5-10 years is even remotely possible is if we have 3x the amount of giving annually by alumni over that span.

And what would happen if dont have that type of increase in almuni giving? Are you saying we would stay in the Big South longer ... or we would move to another conference?
