Someone please tell me why we don’t report our actual SRO attendance instead of the seating capacity? Central does, the NFL does, the NBA does, most of the civilized World does. What am I missing other than negro-ism?

Do we even have standing room only seating at BB&T Stadium? I am pretty sure we dont offer any SRO ticket options.

Concerning Aggie Stadium...
...have we officially changed the name from BB&T to Truist yet?? Was just there yesterday and the signs are still BB&T. In fairness, they are just changing the signs at the Atlanta Braves Ballpark. I'd assume we are much farther away on the priority list.

When I say SRO for example, NCCU reported their Homecoming attendance at approx. 12,843. The seating capacity is 10,000. With the game zone, why would we not sell SRO tickets. Our SRO capacity is probably closer to 30,000.or more. I think we’ve gotten 33,000 and that was before the game zone. We’re probably losing out on at least an additional $200,000 at Homecoming.

Shouldn't the gross paying ticket sells also include the standing room only numbers ?

Wiki says record attendance is 34,769 back In 2001. I would assume that included the extra bleachers and SRO?

Do we even have standing room only seating at BB&T Stadium? I am pretty sure we dont offer any SRO ticket options. You think that we should report our TURNSTILE/SCAN count (only the number of people actually in the building) as an official attendance figure?? That's a slippery slope and can work both ways.
I work within the NBA and we have a standard industry formula for creating and publishing our official attendance figure, which I have posted before. We don't publish turnstile/scan counts, as someone else suggested that we do.
In all honesty, I don't know what formula Aggie Athletics is using in publishing an accurate attendance figure.
But my biggest question is this: When are we going to publish the exact number of seats that we have in Aggie Stadium and Corbett Sports Arena?? Neither one of them end in nice, round figures such as 21,500 seats or 5,700 seats.

Once we lied about our official seating capacity when we announced the BB&T naming rights deal, I stopped believing anything A&T reported about attendance.
At this point they are pretty much just throwing out any number that happens to fit their needs at the time.
