FBS is separate from the college world series and the NCAA tourney. We're already eligible to compete in the college world series and NCAA tourney. What App St has done since they hit FBS would be great. Conference Championships would be great. Consistent bowl wins would be great. I'd consider any of those success. Off the field getting our name in even more households and legitimizing hbcus to a wider audience would be success in my book. In 2011 Martin said he wanted to follow the App State model to building a program. The irony is they were still FCS at that time. Okay then why would Martin say that "this was not my idea but the Board" some is remiss here. So what happens with the Celebration Bowl earnings?

Maybe I am out of order but I can say without hesitation that I am in fact Aggie born from a family fact.I believe that we have been bamboozled openly and that the costs are too great. If due process would have been allowed survey to gauge the opinions of the the Aggie Family the results might have been different. Again we are in a new paradigm Most remarkable is again the Timing against a background of mass confusion media driven subliminal seduction.

I keep seeing it mentioned that alumni should have been surveyed before the move was made. IMO, that’s not realistic. However they would have did the survey, there would have needed to be factual data provided along with it as to why this move “needed” to be made. A lot would of just skipped over the info and automatically voted no because they didn’t want to leave a HBCU conference. Some would have read it and still voted no, even if the facts would have shown it was in the best interest of the school. There would have been some that would have actually made a decision based on the facts provided. Then there would have been some that questioned the data provided and automatically voted no. Some wouldn’t even have been a able to fully understand the info. Whether we like it or not, moves like this are left up to the decision makers, all we can do is hope and trust that they’ve made the right decision at this point. Surveying the Aggie family would have resulted in a mostly uninformed decision to stay. And I say all of this as someone wishes we were staying.

Although it is true that the Chancellor is still an employee of the Board but as far as I am concerned something about this hold thing just dose not feel or smell right . It's not so much the move it's self but how the reasoning behind the move was agreed and perpetrated on .

From the FBS thought exercise to the multiple AAF meetings with the AD, they’ve been looking at moving out of the MEAC and given reasons for years for looking. They just weren’t going to give out an Alumni survey or put it up to a vote at an Alumni meeting. Hell, most of do not read the public BOT notes at BOT.NCAT.EDU. This isn’t part of a grand conspiracy to merge us with UNCG. If they ever wanted to do this, they wouldn’t be covert about it.

If we gauged and acted on what the alumni wanted all the time, we would still be in the CIAA, playing Division 2, because that is "Tradition"
