But regarding the topic
I agree that our schedule will have enough PWIs on it already. It should be HBCU and FBS only. As someone stated earlier though, we have some PWIs already in our contract through 2025. Kind of let me know they didn't know this was going to go down at the time. TI would try and dump Furman if I could.

NCCU, Howard (home and home) NSU(home and home) FBS
The younger fans seem to have a better feel and attendance for Norfolk(than SCSU) with the band brawl happening with it and all.

Man y’all making this change like we are a good man trying to save a you know what. What’s the saying “You can’t turn a H into a Housewife”. We can not save the Meac, We have our own blueprint and it’s been working. Change of conference changes nothing but the conference Logo.
1. Oh how I wish we could play Nccu for Labor Day like the good days , and it could be home home since State doesn’t want us in their stadium. That Game use to have over 20,000 people.
2. I agree we should keep Famu,Scsu,Nsu
3. And let’s take it back again and add Wssu since they want some of A&T so bad. Heck a Bowie State and A&T matchup would be Sweet

Since the 'Celebration Bowl or bust' era is ending for us after this upcoming football season thus moving us back into the 'FCS National Championship game or bust' era, I think we should mix in games from legacy MEAC schools teams along with games versus regional out of conference PWI schools on the FCS level. We should only schedule a D-II game if we have a FBS game on our schedule.
I personally enjoyed my time in Montgomery at the FCS Kickoff Classic vs. Jacksonville State. I know it's out of our geographical footprint but...home and home vs. Alabama State (their AD used to work for us under Hilton) and vs. Alabama A&M (Coach Maynor) might be good.
Also, it seems line now we can explore a home & series vs. Tennessee State - call it the I-40 Border Battle. To me, A&T vs. TN St could also be a real Atlanta classic as Nashville is 4 hours' drive from Atlanta & Greensboro is 5 hours' drive from Atlanta.
Side note: If the MEAC implodes, what will ESPN Events do with the MEAC/SWAC Challenge void and the Celebration Bowl void?

In the new conference, won't we be bound to play 8 conference games? This leaves us with 3 non-conference opportunities to play:
1) NCCU on Labor Day weekend 2) WSSU for GHOE 3) Elon
If we only have to play 7 conference games, I'd schedule: 4a) Duke 4b) ECU 4c) UNC on a rotating basis

The Big South only has seven other football playing schools. - Monmouth
- Kennesaw State
- Charleston Southern
- Campbell
- Gardner-Webb
- Hampton
- North Alabama
Presbyterian is moving to a non-scholarship conference next year.

I would hope the Big South would only schedule the NC & VA schools for away games at Monmouth or North Alabama on a rotational basis. Meaning if with made the haul to Monmouth, North Alabama would be a home game and vice versa.
It does make for a tight geographical schedule. Team would need to fly to Momnmouth or North Alabama as thats a 9 hour ride. Everything else is a short trip 90 minutes to a max of 5 hours to Atlanta.

Money Game, Central and Winston each year. They bring revenue and we can save on travel costs. The kids can play Winston and not miss too much class time. We know how important that is! /s.
