Ladies and gentlemen, I am inside the Fargodome! Lady inside talked about Trey Lance like he was high yella Jesus and then told me all the players were corn fed farm boys and naturally strong before they hit campus. Couldn’t argue with that lol. There’s a rib festival in the parking lot so you know where we are now. I can’t tell if we’re getting more stares because of my vintage A&T shirt or the fact we’re the ONLY people here wearing masks. Probably choice B. I’m not sure most of the cats here know who we are (yet). This cross-country trip is getting really weird. Fargo ain’t generally a tourist destination, maybe Rapid City in the other state (spent a whole summer there). Have fun, but we might need to have a long talk when you return!

Chatted with a guy who played for the Bison in the mid-80s for a while. Another Trey Lance superfan. Told me the same thing about the kids just being bigger out there. He told me in almost every small town there’s a kid who’s 6’7” and 300 lbs for some reason, and if the big boys don’t get that kid he goes to NDSU. I did note that the people were built very solid in general.
He also told me qb development is phenomenal there. The fans I met were all pretty much completely unfamiliar with us. Don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
Everybody was really friendly. Completely anti-mask though.
Campus was nice. The airport is across the road and adjacent to the campus farm. Sponsorships all over the place, including the Fargodome bathroom walls. Made me say “why not Ayantee?”

Made me say “why not Ayantee?” They are 6’7 because they have Nordic/Scandinavian roots and they continue to marry people from the region. Same way S Florida consistently produces extremely fast athletes I figured the fans would be nice, glad to here my assumption was correct.

Thanks for the education! Even wifey was like “these white girls are thick! Don’t let me catch you looking at another one” when she caught me staring at a booty. While I was on the phone with thrilla describing the experience, wifey got a different picture from a brother she ran into. He was a former player who was staying in town until his girl graduated, and then they planned to be out on the first thing smoking. He said people were generally friendly but after George Floyd was murdered somebody started some type of chat group or something called n—-s r us on campus. He said the school failed to address it at all. I told her hell, it was a school founded by them for them so what’s he expect? At best it would’ve been a fake liberal “we’re so sorry” at a number of places. Being on the east coast we’d expect a school to hunt down and expel whoever did it. North Dakota ain’t there yet. Might get there and should get there, but just like the cat I was with told me regarding skill positions, North Dakotans are slower. Don’t know if this is the correct thread but noticing how they used the Fargodome made me acknowledge we’re not using Truist to its full potential. I’m thinking we have the largest outdoor venue in the city of Greensboro. They have concerts and festivals at the Fargodome. We used to have Aggiefest. It’s probably time to bring that type of money earning outdoor festival back, just not during the semester and WELL policed/organized. And don’t just limit it to our performers either. Money is green. One step in getting more of the city and region overall comfortable on our campus is to invite them and let them catch some country or rock and then stroll campus and take a look afterwards. Imagine how much we could get for a suite if some pop superstar did an outdoor concert at Truist? We need to show off this gem shining in east Greensboro. Yeah, this post was all over the place.

Over 500 offensive yards and 300+ on the grown today. We better hit the weight room this afternoon if we want to slow these guys down.
Before this season in the Big South I thought we were close to being competitive with these guys. Now I'm not sure.
