"Give us a lot of problems"... unless Richard Sherman transfers to A&T, their QB will put up Tom Brady numbers on us. That's why I'm hoping this game doesn't happen this fall. I want our coaches and players to have an uninterrupted spring and fall practice to prepare for this game. I'm convinced we can beat those guys, if we have time to properly prepare! If the guys in the trenches aren’t working out this game won’t be close. ND hasn’t closed the business establishments therefore NDSU has an advantage. Their players can workout a gyms in town, did they even close the school? That's my whole point... ND State is already the top program in FCS and I don't think their lifestyle has been as disrupted as ours. Who knows what's going on out there in the hinterlands. Hell I bet them farmboys ain't missed a day of workouts, game film review or drills this spring. This is going to be a remake of the first Ali/Frazier fight and I don't want us to be rusty like Ali. We walk in there halfazz ready and we will be like Ali,... sitting on our butts with a swollen jaw!

some people can't stand the truth! no need to "mislead" folk. there's a reason why ndsu has won 8 out of the last 9 fcs "national championships"! give it to 'em straight with no chaser, forget that fantasy stuff. the "truth" shall set you free... The truth is we have to play to our strength. We have won 4 out the last 5 HBCU CHAMPIONSHIP. Go look at NDSU first playoff game vs Ill St. They can be beat. They have a great team their record is very impressive but we are a great team also Let's hope we play the best game we can and let's see what happens. We can never beat them if we never play them. Can I get a " AGGIE PRIDE" so you're saying an "hbcu" championship is comparable to an "fcs national championship"? you say ndsu can be beat? but are you saying we can't? i mean, if we can be beat by the likes of a 1-8 "morgan state" team? what makes you think we can't be beat by an "8 time" fcs national champion in their home stadium? look, i'm "aggie pride" all day every day. but at the same time, i ain't gone put my friggn' head in the sand. nobody wants to us beat ndsu more than me! but i'll always call it the way that i see it. anybody who honestly thinks hbcu championships are "comparable" to fcs national championships even though "zero" hbcu's have been able to win not even "1" (just one!) fcs playoff game in over 20 years, really must be on that "stuff". hey, ya'll can shoot me down all you want. but i refuse to allow "peer pressure" to force me to say things that aren't true or say things that i honestly don't believe. is it possible that a&t could upset ndsu in fargo? yes, indeed its possible. but is it "probable" that a&t will upset ndsu in fargo? absolutely not. sorry, but that's what i believe whether ya'll like it or not. i ain't gone sit here and "lie" because of peer pressure. i will always state my "honest" opinion, not what i think folk wanna hear. the "truth" shall set you free...

I'm not saying that we can't beat them. And I'm not saying we shouldn't play them. What I am saying is I want to be 100% ready when we do play them and I don't think that's going to happen in the midst of this pandemic.

This conversation is akin to the age old question for men about getting married. I know for a fact my thinking was everything needs to perfect in my life before I get married. Then I got some advice that noone is ever truly ready and if wait for that moment you'll be single forever. So we went ahead got engaged and set a date, sound familiar?. I did everything in my power to make sure I was ready for that day in the same tone our program will be ready when that day gets here. Again if we want to play them when everything is perfect, the game would never get played.
Let's go.

We’ll muck up the game and turn it into a slug fest. Jacksonville State was supposed to dog walk us too in Alabama. I’m pretty confident we’re watching the JMU and Illinois State playoff game film. It’s gonna come down to if we can complete the forward pass against their back 7 consistently enough to keep them from stacking the box.
They’ll also be somewhat wounded, like we will be, from their game with Oregon.
NDSU is for sure watching FAMU game tape, Morgan game film and our Celebration Bowl wins against Alcorn. I won’t be surprised to see NDSU open it up and attack us over the middle with their TE’s and get Mac McCain and the FS to bite up on routes.
If we can keep Trey Lance off the field and put him in long drive scenarios when he does touch the ball, we’ll have a chance for the upset. We also need our DL to come into form rather quickly.

VA Finest you have given a very good example about how we approach this game. Neither team is going to be 100% perfect as we are in life in general.
'69 quit doubting our program and making silly excuses why we will lose or not be prepared.

Don't believe the hype. Things can change once the season starts.

Don't believe the hype. Things can change once the season starts. i watched dude play in the fcs national championship game and he's definitely the "truth". i mean, if folk think nccu's "malcolm bell" gave us fits a few years ago, just wait 'til ya see trey lance! imo, he'll be the best qb i've ever seen a&t play against...

There is nothing wrong with being trepid in this instance. The challenge is a major one. Yet one does not let one's inner feelings define oneself. This is known as butterflies. Bill Russell had them and would throw up before the game. Yet while on the court he was a warrior. I think this game will be a measure of our growth and development. It is in moments like these when ones' will to will can not be underestimated which is as long as the players are in the right frame of mind victory will be in their hands. Like Coach Washington says put the ball down and play, ...tell them to bring me my money.

You right but having a season QB with one full year under his belt would be nice vs there QB(Mahomes look alike) having a season under his belt already.

I believe we can win, period.
1. Our defense is fast and got faster with the new additions. Our speed on defense is championship level and will surprise some. 2. Our running game will be a factor in limiting what NDSU wants to do. 3. We've faced QBs that have carved us up before and still won the game. 4. Lance is good, but the real game will be won in the trenches and if there is one area to have worries about it's there not the QB position. 5. We will enter the game with something to prove, just like when we went through Jax State and ECU. 6. Quiet as it's kept NDSU is an FCS team. And even for those of you who think they are somehow closer to FBS built, we've proven we can play well or beat FBS teams.

True he is the real deal but if you neutralize his support system he is no different than any other player on the field. A QB is only as good as his receivers and a receiver is only as good as his QB you can't have one without the other. Lock down one of the two and it's a 50-50 game in my play book. I'm not worried about this QB but I am worried about both there Offensive and Defensive linemen that is the heart and soul of there team . Stop the heart stop the team .
