At least Coach Howard should have a list of "preferred DB trainers" in his back pocket that he can give the kid until spring camp.
For him to be seeking help all by himself on social media just seems weird to me.
College Coaches are not allowed to provide any assistance of any type not even a referral for prospective athletes doing the off season . His best bet is to contact his Highschool coach or someone with the Skins being from DC and all .
Why would he change to a DB, when he would be the main guy after Martin graduates next year? Particularly when the offensive line is developing depth to be good for the next 2-3 years four starters returning, Brooks coming in and the likelihood of Big Country signing. I could him teaming with Martin just like Martin and Cartwright did twp years ago.
We Redshirted RBs that will be in competition for the RB2 position. We really needed help in the secondary.
That concerns me that Salahuddin is that raw as a DB that he feels he needs additional training prior to spring camp. It also concerns me that he hasn't been giving an offseason training program from our coaches to hold him over until the spring.
How do they feel about somebody else teaching him techniques and mechanics that might contradict with what they plan on teaching him?
from what I understand players usually train with other during the off-season. He’s not the only A&T player or college player to train with somebody outside the coaching staff.

I'm not saying we should go full Houston Astros ... but if I'm an A&T position coach and my unit was the opposite of good last season, I am putting on a Groucho Marx mask and a trench coat and finding a way to secretly work with my top recruits prior to spring camp.
At the very least, I am finding a way to give them a detailed training plan that consists of my personal coaching philosophies. I'm not just letting them work with an outside guy who could be telling them the polar opposite of what I plan to teach.
