I just looked at his HS tape today. He's 'Langley' with the ability to score. His penetration game is almost identical to Langley's with the ability to pull up for the short jumper if necessary. He averaged 25 points, 9 assists and shot 74% from the FT line. Jones' style fits him perfectly. We have him for two years.

Is a 4 guard starting lineup a possibility (Langley, Harris, Parker; Maye)?

Is a 4 guard starting lineup a possibility (Langley, Harris, Parker; Maye)? Blake will likely have to sit out until the end of the fall semester... so likely the first 8-10 games. I doubt that we will start 4 guards. But we will almost assuredly have rotations with 4 guards. That will be a strong lineup.

Didn't Villanova's first national title under Jay Wright start 4 guards, or at least as you say Durhamsoaggie, often utilize 4 guards? I just put it out there because T could really spread the floor with 2 point guards (Harris may be more a combo guard), a pure shooter in Maye and a real athlete in Parker (driver/slasher type that can create his own shot). Also, Jones's version of A&T employed more (to me) three shooting, again, with 4 guards, more space with the ability to drive and dish for the three. I'm warming to the idea of Jones as head coach, off topic.

Blake has to have 2 semesters of academic progress at his current school. The same thing happened with Patrick Cole at NCCU in 2015-16... only played the second semester in 2016 and was MEAC Player of the Year in 2016-17.

Is a 4 guard starting lineup a possibility (Langley, Harris, Parker; Maye)? Why not. Don Corbett stated 4 guards in the mid eighties; Boyd 6'4, Brown 6'3, Griffis 5'8 and Cale 6'6.

I believe Ty Lyons will be a 25-30 minute player who can play either the 3 or 4 spot. And we'll get some frontcourt help to go around Harry as he matures. I do think that we'll be a better 3-pt shooting team in 2020-21. Tyler will be better. Hopefully Fred will be more consistent. And Blake helps with that as well. Coach Jones was able to create really good spacing without us being a good 3-pt shooting team. That's pretty impressive by itself.

Good stuff. It seems interesting to me, although as Numberonebrave states, it's a defensive risk.

nah, i agree with durham. can't go with a 4 guard lineup as a base, we'd get "hammered" in the paint if we tried to do that. we gotta have a strong front court presence, ain't no way around that...

I don't see A&T doing it because we do not have any big guards over 6'4" .
