Yes there's one more game, but I want to commend the players and coaching for getting us this far. Having seen every game this year in person, I'm thankful for another successful season. There were some downs, but a lot more ups. I have to admit it's was a grind to get through 11 games, but hanging with BlueDeath and a sprinkle of MEACFans posters made it quite enjoyable. I saw a lot old faces and met some new ones, and met some old friends for the first time.
I've been to every MEAC football town and school, though impressed with what I've seen, I'm more impressed with our progress. I know it's not an easy task, but we have to keep building on what we are doing.
Looking at the 2019 W/L results of our opponents, many didn't fair as well.
ELON: 5-6, no signature wins.
DUKE: 5-7, beat VT early, but no signature wins thereafter, in fact loss 5 straight at before Saturday.
CHSO: 6-6, no signature wins, but won last 4 games.
DSU: 2-10, lost 7 straight before the surprise win over BCU.
NSU: 5-7, no signature wins.
FAMU: 9-2 best season in years, signature wins; Southern (especially if SWAC Champ), and disappointingly against us.
HOWARD: 2-10 no signature wins.
SCSU: 8-3, beat Wofford, close loses to FAMU and NCA&T, both at home.
MORGAN: 3-9, appeared to lack offensive firepower most of the year, signature win disappointingly against us.
BCU: 7-4, signature win against FAMU.
NCCU: 4-8, no signature wins.

Elon beat the #15 Delaware and #19 Towson, they actually had those impressive victories.

They are in one of the most challenging conf. The MEAC is not even close to the CAA.

IF we have a season, our schedule pales in comparison to what we had last year. Aside from Duke and FAMU, our schedule was rather wimpy, which is why that Morgan State loss was a head-scratcher.
We have 3 FCS games that will be dog fights (FAMU, NDSU, and SC State), an FBS game with Jerry Fallwell U, and about 7 potential blowouts (If we play up to potential.
9-2 should be expected.

If those two losses are from out of conf. play. I have no issue. Otherwise I will be dam if one of those loses come from Morgan or Fl. A&M. No excuses put up or shut up. Three straight losses is unacceptable.

If Fowler already had a year where he was the full time starter the entire season, I would say yes this is the best team ever!!!!

Based on what I expect now, we're projected to have 25+ 2-4 star players that are mostly 3 stars. I don't believe we've EVER had NEARLY this many on one team.
As examples: - 3 of our 4 returning offensive linemen are starred - 2, 3 & 3 - 3 of what I expect to be our 4 starting defensive linemen are 3 stars, with 2 backups being 2 & 3 stars - 4 DBs are 3 & 4 stars (2 3s & 2 4s)
That said, they still have to do it on the field.
We'll see what happens.
