Utah St only played a 8-man rotation. Their guards were 6-3, 6-5, 6-5 and 6-6... all at 200 lbs or better, with over half their squad having done a Mormon mission. They are a big, older, physical squad with a lot of skill... likely the best team we'll play all season.
Like Coach Joyner said... we have to build off of this for North Texas.

By now you would think all the buttwhippings were enough for us to "build off of" but obviously it hasn't helped our shooting! So I guess we just need to ignore men's basketball until we play our first conference game. Until then it's just an opportunity for the players to tour the country. My suggestion for future seasons is to skip the sacrificial road trips and just stay in Corbett Gym practicing shooting. I know it's not sexy but maybe it will improve our shooting percentage. Shooting lots of bricks and losing by big margins every night isn't improving our players skills. All they are learning is... they can't shoot worth spit!

Either shoot better or dunk a lot.

Low expectations for basketball; get a real basketball coach in here. Football carried us for the last few years and looks like another year of hopefully 500 season.

A coach has nothing to do with poor shooting nights .This team will be fine by Mid January

I'm just so tired of November and December, over and over again! It gets old after 20+ seasons.

Just like how the basketball team carried us all those years when football was down in the dumps . I think the basketball team played a lot better by just keeping the game somewhat close against the # 17th ranked team in the country in my opinion .
