It blows me away that a guy seemingly this talented landed in our laps. My goodness does the kicking future of A&T look extremely BRIGHT for the next several years. Welcome to A&T Andrew!! Aggie Pride!!

If the roster remains like it is now, you will enter the season with two junior quarterbacks who have started a combined total of ZERO games. We are gonna have to use the Shaw match-up as chance for both of them to get some meaningful reps in live action before the toughest two road games of the season. Like we've seen for several years, our 3rd string QBs get very little run unless there is some kind of injury. That also applies to the backups. And there's Khalil Gilliam...current 3rd string QB. We'll see what happens with him. I just watched Gilliams junior year highlights, and the dude looked pretty good, with mechanics and accuracy. You never know...

Don't try to pump up a 3rd string QB on this forum. Unless you are pushing for starting time, people don't care apparently. But I agree, I remember his tape and he is a legit dual threat. We have talent all up and down the roster, if folks will allow them to develop.

Gentlemen, I gotta story to tell (Biggie)...I went to my daughter's former high school basketball game tonight. They lost in overtime so, I yell at the main player from the other team (Potomac), I asked him where was he going to school. He said Maryland for football, he's signing in the morning. Well,I simply said "If that doesn't work, put us on your consideration list." He asked what school, I told him North Carolina A&T...man his eyes lit up. He asked me did I know the coach and everything. Even his brother inquired about the basketball team, he was 6'7 but anyway. It seemed if I had been a coach I could've flipped him easily. I mean his coach was telling him to come on, he was still there inquiring about A&T. Now, I've only seen him play basketball, he's 6'2 with hops and very athletic. He plays db, looks like a safety. I will look his name up for you guys to see. But, was I tampering with a recruit?
Name is...Corey Dyches Potomac High School, Oxon Hill, MD 6'2" 190lbs

Sounds like he's not quite set on Maryland if he stayed to talk to you about T. Maybe a little late in the game, but you should pass his name and info to coach Gibbs. Who knows he may end up not happy and could transfer.

Well, I will follow you guys lead because, I don't want to do anything that can jeopardize what we have but, you'd be surprised the kids up here that would love to go to T but, nobody has reached out to them. You know how you can tell if someone can play or not...they just look athletic. That was him.

His mom texted me late last night (I had to fake it so da wife wouldn't get suspicious) but, she's a Hampton grad herself and she said NO hbcus even looked his way. Now, I do know they play their games on Saturdays up here. But, come on now, no Morgan, Bowie or Howard.
She did say she is still trying to convince him to consider an hbcu. I told her all pwi are not a good fit, has nothing to do with the kid's talent...it's just not a good fit. BUT, A&T would be perfect for him. Plus, it's gonna be a loooong time before Maryland win a Big 10 championship in football.
So, that was my little sales pitch...

That’s really all we can do; gather info and deliver it to the coaching staff. They’re good at responding and will be honest about what they can offer at the time.

Guys, I think Corey Dyches is reconsidering and would definitely like to talk further about A&T. If you check UM's website, he did not sign so....I think i need to put Gibbs in contact with him asap. What yall think?
