Don't like this move. Game needs to be played in elements which I felt was to our advantage.

i don't like it either, decks. i really don't. the rain would've played to our advantage, but the "heat" plays to theirs. i sure hope we're wearing our "all white" uni's to deflect some of that sun away...

TROPICAL STORM NESTOR SIDE NOTE...MORGAN STATE @ SC STATE: INCLEMENT WEATHER FORCES FOOTBALL SCHEDULE CHANGEFrom SCSU Sports Information: 10/18/2019 1:00:00 PM
ORANGEBURG, S.C. — Due to the effects of potential Tropical Storm Nestor, the Morgan State-South Carolina State game has been adjusted.
The Morgan State-South Carolina State game will now kick off on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
SC State University Homecoming parade is canceled and all indoor Homecoming events scheduled for the weekend will take place.
Students, faculty and staff, returning alumni, vendors and event supporters are encouraged to take every precaution to remain safe as weather conditions are expected to worsen by Saturday afternoon. Heavy rain, strong winds and flash flooding may occur.
The storm is forecast to pass over the panhandle of Florida and into the southeast Friday night and into Saturday.
"The well-being and safety of our student-athletes, athletic staff and fans is of utmost importance," MEAC Commissioner Dr. Dennis E. Thomas said. "I appreciate both Morgan State University and South Carolina State University for their willingness to adjust their schedules in the face of potentially dangerous conditions." The game will still be streamed live on the MEAC Digital Network on ESPN3. For further updates on the storm, monitor: · Major television news networks and cable news channels · University email · University emergency alert notification system (e2Campus) · University official social media websites: - Facebook, Twitter and Instagram: @scstate1896

TROPICAL STORM NESTOR SIDE NOTE...@bcugridiron's Saturday Kickoff Moved To 7 P.M.From BCU Sports Information October 18, 2019
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman University Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Lynn W. Thompson announced today [October 18, 2019] that the kickoff for Saturday's game against Norfolk State has been moved from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The move is due to the effects of Tropical Storm Nestor working its way through Florida late Friday and early Saturday.
"With the rapidly moving storm and its outer bands coming through our area, we did not want to have the teams and fans stuck at the stadium for hours in a weather delay," Thompson said. "Moving the kickoff time from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. allows us a window of safety for all concerned."
The stadium parking lots will open for tailgating at 11 a.m.
The Wildcats (5-1 overall, 3-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) enter Saturday against the Spartans (2-5,1-2) on a four-game winning streak.

There's a better than average chance at localized tornadoes and possible flash flooding spinning off from this depression as it moves through the Tallahassee area from noon through late tomorrow afternoon. Those are very legitimate and serious public safety concerns that have to be taken into consideration.
