Glad to see the band is going to the game on Saturday.
That did not happen when I was in the band so I am happy for the band. I know Coach W. is happy as well

I never traveled down to Bethune or FAMU when I had marched in the band. I want to say this is the first time the BGMM has traveled to Tallahassee since 2002

It is good to learn the band is going to FAMU for the game. Some of my most memorable times at A&T were spent traveling as part of the Aggie band. Particularly my first trip to Tallahassee which was a long trip but I enjoyed every bit of it including my freshman year when the combined A&T/FAMU bands played together.
I feel sure that this year's band will enjoy their Tallahassee trip also. AGGIE PRIDE...

I was fortunate when I marched, we went everywhere except DSU and MSU. We went to Bethune, FAMU, the CCC, and the playoffs. We marched against Tenn State more than some MEAC schools.
I am glad we are going to FAMU. The team needs the support and the rattlers are fun after the game is over. I hope this weather holds.

The last time I remember the band in Tallahasee, the 5th quarter was played 10 feet apart. The BGMM came out of the stands and set up on the sideline right in front of the 100. It was epic.

I remember this game, the band did a post game show then blocked up in front of the 100. The 5th was a solid 30 min until the cops pressured Dr. Hodge and staff to leave. The band seems to always focus better at away games then home games similar to the football team.

I wonder if the weather will put a damper on A&T band going down there

I wonder if the weather will put a damper on A&T band going down there Prof Carlson would say..."It rains on the band not in the band." In other words, you gonna get wet but the show will go on. A little rain will not dampen our band student's enthusiasm. Hey remember this is a long bus trip with plenty of time to sleep (after all that practice), stops for eating and an overnight stay in a hotel. For most of these kids, this may be the furthest they have every traveled so rain or shine, they will have a ball. Plus, years from now they will be telling their grandkids about this long bus trip to Tally!

EVERY bandsman in this year’s BGMM NEEDS TO SEE THIS prior to Saturday’s game to truly understand what a 5th quarter is about. Damn. That was good! Hodge was a master. Those that are connected, please pass this to current band members. Most of them were in diapers when this occurred.

I love Dr. Hodge man...most band directors didn't have the nerve or the balls to bring their band across the field and stand in front of another band and blow off, let alone FAMU. Also, back then the 5th Quarter was a demonstration of musicality and song selection, nowadays, the 5th quarters are nothing but, hook songs and dancing.

How has the change to a Sunday game affected the band's trip this weekend??

if they're taking buses, seems to me that its easier to change the arrangements for chartered buses than it is to change flight arrangements. changing hotel accomodations shouldn't be too difficult either. however, making classes on monday is probably gonna be a problem, especially making morning classes...
