Finally got it working. But I had to purchase another vcr from the pawn shop. so did you have it done at walmart or did you do it yourself? if you did it yourself, why did you need to buy another vcr? i've got a ton of vhs tapes of my son and daughter playing sports from elementary school thru high school. i'd luv to digitize them and then put together a "highlight" video for each of them like the ones they produce for high school athletes seeking scholarships. i'm thinking that would be a pretty cool birthday or xmas gift for them...

I didn't want to wait 3 weeks so I did it myself. The other VCR I had was actually a TV/VCR combo and didn't have a video output. I didn't realize that until I started hooking up the wires.
Luckily I was able to find a vcr/dvd player today at my local pawn shop for $25. The thing works like a champ.
