BTW, what was up with the two young ladies by their band with (liked like to me ) Plantation dresses on? Normally the Queens would have on a modern dress, or if they were Flag Girls they would have on a body suit. I saw that. "Southern Tradition"

I was slightly impressed with their band and student section singing "I'm so glad I go to CSU" to perfection. After going up 14-0 it was surreal. You could hear a pin drop on our side. However their version of "Neck" was horrendous.

Conference tie breaker favors us once again. No doubt we hold tie breaker over any MEAC school with two out of conference FCS wins. SC State & BCU have 1 out of conference FCS win. The rest of the conference either is 0-3 or have 1 win over a D2 school. Geez....

I’m calling that, “Engrained Dixie Tradition.”

And a black coach, but don't let that stop em from being offended by a dress.
Look at them runaway slave pants the mascot got on. That's the real issue. They couldn't find Timbuk some pants that fit?

However their version of "Neck" was horrendous. Unfortunately I was sitting on the home side and when they cranked up "Neck" I nearly lost my lunch. We've got to put a notice on YouTube warning PWIs bands not to copy certain songs.

Yall are reaching. Charleston Southern had a black mascot: Hey they had brothers everywhere...on the coaching staff, in the band, on the team, in the cheerleaders and in the student cheering section. With SC State just up the road, it's hard for me to figure out how they ended up at a conservative Baptist college that opened in 1965!

Same way Buddy Pough's son ended up playing football at the Citadel some years back. EVERYBODY can't just up and go to Steat. I guess it's not much different than going to Liberty.

man, after digesting some of raynard's comments, i think he's absolutely right to an extent, though he could've used better words selections. i don't think a lot of our fans really look beneath the weeds when criticizing. before i had a chance to see the actual "replay" of the entire game, i first read the game day thread and after reading every page chronologically, i came away expecting to see a total "disaster" by our team in that game.
then, after i finally watched the replay, i was like "where's the friggin' disaster"? sure, the offense "sputtered" somewhat in the first half, but not to the point of being considered a "disaster" or being "horrible". the problem is that some of ya'll expected us to blow charleston southern out (see the "You Pick the Score Challenge" thread for evidence) and when that didn't happened, some of ya'll immediately "panicked" and started pointing fingers at the qb and the oc.
some of ya'll went hard on the oc because ya didn't like his play calls. well, don't forget, "we do chicken"! the philosophy of our team is stop the run, win the kicking game, and "protect the football". well, passing the ball in the middle of the field is the most "risky" pass you can throw. all it takes is "one tip" by the offense or the defense and next thing ya know, the ball is going the other way. if ya get a tip on sideline patterns, guess what? its likely gonna go "out of bounds". sideline patterns are "much safer".
so think about it? maybe there's a reason we don't often pass the ball down the middle. like i said, "we do chicken"! an interception can change the momentum of a game, ask charleston southern what happened after they gave up "2 picks" in the second half if you don't believe me?
so folk see kylil take a sack and immediately think that's such a bad decision, get rid of the doggone ball. however, taking a sack is far better than throwing an "interception". there's a reason why carter has only thrown "1" interception in his 5 years playing qb for a&t.
another point that raynard made that i assume carter and barnette's critics don't even consider and that is, this is the first time in 4 years that barnette has a new starting qb. and to make matters even more difficult, we have "7" new starters on offense this season. yet, you mofo's expect our offense to "click on all cylinders" by game 3 of this season? and "on the road" no less? and ya'll already calling for the starting qb and our oc's heads?
that's the part where raynard was 100% correct. using his words, "give it time"! this stuff doesn't get ironed out over night.
that all being stated, the one thing i like most about raynard and carter is they both "support each other" 100%! i like how raynard came to his boy'z rescue and rightfully so. carter was raynard's biggest cheerleader when raynard was the starter. and vice versa, it was raynard who actually told coach washington to keep carter in the ecu game after carter drove our team down the field for a td. i mean, raynard and carter support each other more than some of you mofo's do...

i like how raynard came to his boy'z rescue and rightfully so. Rescued from what?? LOL. Carter doesn't need rescuing. It's a college/fan message board. Athletes (both current and former) need to take that as it is. There are a TON of ill informed folks as well as a few who have played ball and worked in college administration who patrol these sites. The one constant aspect of ALL OF THIS....is that these are just opinions. And I ain't never seen an opinion hurt anyone. And for the record, I support Carter as our starting QB. However, as a fan, if I suggest that the offense seems to be stalling and maybe we should shift the lineup in order to try and jumpstart things, then that opinion hurts no one and its a well known strategy that numerous coaches have utilized in the past. Aggie Nation loves all of our athletes as young Black men and women FIRST. But secondly we also possess the right to have opinions on their efforts on the field of play (no matter how inaccurate or sometimes accurate that they may be). I ain't never been a politician but that don't mean I can't criticize them. I ain't never been a professional chef, but that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on what is served up. I've said this before and I will say it again, I think it is down right DANGEROUS to live in a society where a counter opinion is viewed as "hating." That reduces peoples ability and willingness to engage in critical thought. So Lamar if you are reading this, don't take the often ridiculous, insane, and sometimes accurate assessments of message board folks personal homie. That's beneath you as the greatest quarterback who's ever played at A&T. Let us fans and Aggies blabber on about whatever it is, and if it pisses you off then weigh in (civilly) with your own comments, or just ignore us altogether. Aggie Pride!

I thought we were through talking about Carter and OC. Damn everyone has an opinion good or bad. Let it go regardless.
