Well, now that we’ve beaten Charleston Southern, I hope that their coach wins the rest of their games. Denson is a darn good coach. They'll struggle some this year, but I believe he's going to win quite a bit over the next 4 years. I think Chas Southern is gonna win NOW in the Big South. I just gave him much props on MEACFANSZONE. CS would have beaten most teams in the Big South playing the way they played last night....

Thrilla you were right, from the game story...
"Despite the changes, a fumble by Martin on the Aggies opening possession of the second half looked to be costly. The Bucs took over at the Aggies 41-yard line and moved the ball to the Aggies 12 before senior rover Antoine Wilder came up with an interception in the end zone to end CSU’s hopes of taking a two-touchdown lead."
HH with the play of the game.

This win is fools gold because it masks the real problems with our offensive scheme. Lets face it Charleston Southern is a mediocre team which we should have beat handily. CS may not win 3 games all year. This is a game we would have lost had not their quarterback missed some wide open throws and threw two ill-advised interceptions.
Martin is a legit back with Sunday skills (potentially) who single handily won this game. Wilder is a baller who can play at any collegiate level, Ruiz is kicking lights out and better than any kicker at the HBCU level in recent memory. # 24 DB got straight heart ! The offensive line's run blocking is impressive and getting better.
The hard truth is if we are going to compete at the highest FCS (Top Ten) level or be competitive with second tier FBS programs, we have got to upgrade our offensive scheme which will give us the ability to attract a higher caliber quarterback which is a must to beat the upper echelon FCS schools. Martin is a tough, good college player but is slow and more of a game manager!
Our current scheme is predictable and elementary and is not conducive to attracting a top tier quarterback (which we need). Our entire offense outside of the long runs from Martin consists of the qb draw, back shoulder/Jump ball to Bell, bubble scream and the corner fade in the end zone! C'mon man!!
I contend if Raynard, who is as talented physically as some qb's in the league, would have been in a more pro-style system and put up greater numbers, he would have been drafted or at least got a look last year. Move Bell inside, throw slants, hook routes, crossing routes or even a screen pass every once in awhile. We may win the MEAC with this current scheme but unless we upgrade our offense that's about the zenith of our program! That is a shame because we are probably the only HBCU with the potential to compete at a high FCS level or eventually beat a second tier FBS school.

It looked like another Aggie Takeover down there, on TV. The Aggie Nation is really shaping up.

I'd be willing to bet a Ruth's Chris steak on what I highlighted...... Charleston Southern started off the season playing at Furman, at the University of South Carolina, and A&T. THAT'S MURDER FOR A 1ST-YEAR COACH!!!! Look who they have left: Citadel Savannah State Kennesaw St North Alabama Monmouth Gardner-Webb Hampton Presbyterian Campbell After playing Furman, South Carolina and A&T in consecutive weeks......Charleston Southern may be figuratively skiing downhill. I see MUCH MORE than 3 Ws for the rest of the year with them.

Citadel - toss up SSU - win Kennesaw - loss UNA - toss up Monmouth - toss up GWU - win Hampton - win Presby - win Campbell - win
Provided they win one of those toss-ups they'll have a winning record. If they can beat the Citadel they can beat Kennesaw. Same damn offense.

Gotta share some respect for Ruiz. His OOC performance was strong.

Gotta share some respect for Ruiz. His OOC performance was strong. Absolutely! Say what you will about out coaching staff, they stuck with this kid despite last year's national TV meltdown. And look at him now! I personally feel like I owe him an apology for doubting his ability. I just hope I'm that wrong about a couple of our defensive backs I've been dogging this season!

BTW, what was up with the two young ladies by their band with (liked like to me ) Plantation dresses on? Normally the Queens would have on a modern dress, or if they were Flag Girls they would have on a body suit.
