I think game balls should be awarded to: - Amir McNeil
- The Fumbah & Howard Wrecking Crew (again)
- Stuckey
- Banks
- Jah Martin
- Ruiz
I think people who need to look in the mirror today and do some soul searching are: - Every single DB on the roster not named McNeil or Williams
- Chris Barnette
- Sam Washington (when it comes to game management)
- The person from Duke who designed their gameday parking situation

BTW: I think momentum changed in the first half when Washington declined a holding penalty and allowed Duke to go for it on 4th and short. That was the a terrible decision at the time and eventually led them to driving down for a go-ahead touchdown.
Also, the play calling in the second half when we had 1st and goal from the 8 yard line was brutal.
All in all, not a great night for the coaching staff. I think they were outclassed just as much as our secondary.

We could have used Mac last night We did stop Dukes running game but since we could get no pressure on their QB our Db’s except McNeil and Williams got tourched Lastly I don’t believe in not showing your playbook. The play calling last not was generic. Someone said off cord was holding playbook for conference play...if you can execute it on Duke you surley can run it on anyone else on the schedule even if they know it’s coming. How you gone go entire night without running a screen pass when opposing team blitzing !!!

Westcoast said that about the playbook. Dont listen to him.
Football coaches go into every game trying to do everything possible to give their team the best chance to win that particular game.
If anything, our playbook last night was adjusted to deal with the speed of the Duke pass rush and linebackers, and the limitations of our quarterback. But were not holding anything back.

Our defense was definitely tired early. We played a Power 5 program so there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Duke’s players were stronger than any team we’ll face which kept our defense on the field. Their players were always falling forward even when they had multiple Aggies in on a tackle. I think their QB just didn’t get much pressure which made our DB’s have a tough time. It’s always good to see where you measure up and I’m sure our guys will grow from this. I agree but I will say this . I for one I miss Cartright . I just don't see a between the tackles Runner that you need to keep the linebackers honest . Don't get me wrong because I like Martin and he can pop one at any given moment . But he has not shown me that he can handle the inside Dirty Work that will soften up a defense . Cartright was that kinda back and Martin benefited from having his presence in the backfield . With that said ; Some fans want to have things both ways . We want to score fast and often but yet we turn around and say "OUR DEFENSE IS ON THE FIELD TOO LONG " . Scoring to fast and not sustaining a drive is just as taxing on a Defense as going 3 and out . Just something to think about going forward .

Why did we seem to abandon the run right after Martin's score? And BTW, please remove the QB draw from the playbook.

Washington broke the momentum when he refused to challenge the so called fumble by Bell which was not a fumble because Bell never had control of the Ball . Even if he had lost a challenge it would show that he is fighting for them from the sidelines and has there back . Washington and the OC needs to take the blame on this one . Also they need to use Graves more for the inside running .

The game changers to me were:
No RB screens in the first half to slowdown the blitz. Broadcasters eventually mentioned it.
The drive we went to a 3 man front and they easily marched down the field to go up 14-10.
The Bell fumble/not fumble

. Also they need to use Graves more for the inside running. Graves has yet to show me that he has the foot speed to be anything more than a spring game star. And that toss sweep to him late in the fourth quarter had no chance of gaining positive yards. To be honest, this is where you really miss a RB like Hutchinson.

I honestly would need to get my hands on the game film to do a full critique of the play calling, but I seem to remember we tried a quick screen to Baker and it went for negative yards. Their outside linebackers were heat-seeking missiles.

Our WR didn’t show up last night, Duke wasn’t scared of the passing game so they could place close to the line.

We need to upgrade our offensive coaching staff or let them shadow nfl offensive coordinators. Plays and routes that work in Div 3 or FCS won’t wirk in FBS.
