Duke ran 90 offensive plays to 54 for A&T (and 574 vs. 249 in total yardage). According to Duke's radio team, this is the first time that we have given up over 30 points in 3 seasons.
I can't fault the effort! For their last TD, Duke had a 1st-and-goal from the 3-yardline and it took them FOUR plays to score.
That's HEART right there!
And thanks for that streaming link, OSA!!

Take away the last 6:00 in the 2nd Qtr and it's a much closer game. The Offense was beginning to hum when Bell fumbled. Oh Well, it happens. Washington should have challenge that fumble because Bell never had CONTROL of the ball . You could see that on the replay . Also no screams or crossing routes or seam routes ? How do experienced receivers get pent on the sidelines Come On Man . That OC needs to do better .

We probably didn't want to show too many wrinkles in this game.

I can understand that WCA but what I can not understand is running the same plays over and over and not utilizing the weapons we have in a vanilla offense . You just don't abandon the running game after a 60 yard TD . That OC just has to do better .

I don't think any team in the MEAC or SWAC should be taken lightly. None, including A&T, should be taken lightly. The best teams are probably fairly equal. I see where Grambling has lost their first two games. The season is young, and all of these teams have an opportunity to win their conference.

What I learned tonight...
1. For at least one quarter, we can play with almost anybody 2. Our DBs struggle to make easy tackles 3, Bell has off nights and this was one of them 4. Without a good pass rush, you can complete a pass on us every play 5. If our opponent's defense controls the line of scrimmage we don't have a back up plan 6. Noel found his mojo last week

I think we all knew when the game was over. We targeted Bell wayyyy too much in my opinion. He's an amazing guy, I still have nothing bad to say about him. He doesn't face this level of competition too often. Learning curve on this game.
I agree with everyone else. The OC wasn't amazing.
I like our team. We have talent everywhere. I hope they keep their heads up. Duke players did just face Alabama before us. We're good.
We have play makers everywhere. Cater can make us explosive on every play this season.

I want to see this game again.
I'm proud of the Team, the Band and The Aggie Nation.
* The Team kept playing. Duke played fast and did not give us a chance to rest. Of course they were deeper, fast to the ball on sweeps and solid on kickoff coverage.
* The Band played an conservative show. I get it. We 'turn up' at HBCU's and not PWI's. (I've noticed that we don't dance for them, we just play).
* We had some moments. First off, we had a whole side of the stadium. I was a takeover! When we went up 10-7 The Aggie Nation went off! A Aggie Pride chant echoed in Wallace Wade. Man, it was crazy! Duke had that arrogance of going for it on 4th down ect… but for a moment it had flipped!
* 85 scholarships to 63 showed up. The defenders on the pass was as fast, and we had to make some amazing catches at times.
* Our O-Line did not get our QB killed. They had their hands full all day. I was proud of them. Duke had the dirty play penalities.
* Our Defense had to eat all day. Duke played fast, and guys were making tackle after tackle after tackle. Only to see Duke throw a 4 yard pass for the first down. It could have been frustrating, but I did not see anyone throw their hands up ect. They just kept playing.
* I think that it got to a point that it was over, and we needed to stay healthy, get the check, and prep for the MEAC after one more game.

Our defense was definitely tired early. We played a Power 5 program so there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Duke’s players were stronger than any team we’ll face which kept our defense on the field. Their players were always falling forward even when they had multiple Aggies in on a tackle. I think their QB just didn’t get much pressure which made our DB’s have a tough time. It’s always good to see where you measure up and I’m sure our guys will grow from this.
