I just sent Dr. Ruff an email asking to move the band to the endzone for the Del. State game so MANY more people can see and hear them.
Here are the reasons I included:
1. MUCH more of the crowd will be able to see AND hear the hard work you all have put in to making the band what we KNOW is the best band in the land!
2. I don't believe I can say enough about how much more engaging it will be for our fans...especially the "older" folks!
3. I bought a season ticket, this year, and I could barely hear the band from my reserved seat at about the 50 yd line...including Dear A&T after the game was over.
4. In the past, I've sat on the visitor side so I could see and hear the band. I'd rather sit on our side. Others also sit over there for that reason.
5. The game enthusiasm will increase GREATLY!

Nope.
Band geeks would much rather trade snippets back and forth with the opposing band across the field from them. That is their No. 1 focus during and after the game.

I like your idea. I've sat in the section under the press box for decades and you're right, it's hard to hear the band where they are now. This is a great idea but...tickets have been sold in that section of the stadium. We'd have to get them to agree to move to another section. This may not be an issue but I agree with your suggestion.

I'm kind of the mindset of, you are there for the game or the band? If you there for the band then move your seat and arrive early to get a good view, but you cant have both. You cant have a good view of the Marchine Machine and sit between the 40s with a reserve seat on the home side at the same time.

i'm cool with the bgmm being where they already are. no, we can't hear them as well from the reserved section. but they belong closer to the students, the students respond to the bgmm more so than the alums. but i do agree that if possible for the dsu game, move them to the visitors side simply for "tv optics" cuz if not, its gonna look darn near "naked" on the visitors side...

Like oleschoolaggie said, doubtful DSU brings their band. 2. They can still trade, but not directly across from each other. 3. If the opposition brings their band, ours could go back to being across from them. though I would rather them not.

marchingband1969 - I don't believe the endzone seats are reserve seats. Just general admission so no need to deal with agreeing to move.

Aggie Monster - I'm there, primarily, for the game but it's about the whole experience. Of course, the game is the most important thing but the band is important too! I'm gonna say that it will sell more tickets than our current setup.

The students can sit beside them on both sides.

I love the band in their current spot...but i think the direct corner of the horseshoe is ideal.
A) Surrounded by the student body...thus increasing hype B) They are still in battle position in case of opposing band C) More can hear them
They are in Section R now, section P or even Q would be a good look as well

I 2nd this motion! I have noticed that most pwi bands sit in that area with similar designed stadiums.
