eb has deceiving speed, i figured the 4.55 forty would at least get him an ufa contract. but a 4.55 is below average for most nfl wr's and i think that hurt him more than anything else.
but i still think he has a chance to at least make somebody's practice squad. if not, i hope he doesn't hang his cleats up. if he doesn't make the nfl, i believe he can still play at the cfl, xfl, or afl level...

Bell is already a big receiver and he is Exceptional as a Blocker . And not give me that cap wideout is the only position he as ever played and it would be hard for him to make the adjustment . If ex Collegiate quarterbacks (one from Maryland and one from Arkansas) make it in the show an ex-wide receiver should be able to. Because as I see it the same passing tree is used by both positions.

4.55 is fine for a wr, especially one with Bell’s size and strength. Smaller dudes running 4.6s got drafted.
He’ll get his chance....

well we'll see cuz he doesn't have any other weaknesses, his hands are made of "glue", he's physical and he's strong as an ox. not too sure about his route running but he's only about 6'1" which really doesn't give him much of a height advantage in the nfl. i still say 4.55 (which basically is 4.6) won't help him a lot in the world's best pro football league, i think he'll have difficulty creating separation against the big boyz...

Bell has been a great receiver at A&T but "sometimes", not often, he did not have a good game in a big game.
When we lost to Duke that might have been his worse game ever as an Aggie. His drops dead on target to him killed our momentum several times.
I believe this particular game that he performed poorly in may have caused him to not get a look so far in the NFL.
Not saying he won't get a look or that he can't play in NFL but that particular game and maybe 1 or 2 more over his career may have hurt his chances.
If he had showed out at Duke or had a very good game, things may have been different.
Just saying ...

I don't know but I think there was other factors involved such as the mess in Bragg Stadium exhibit 1, his performance in the Celebration Bowl should have counted rather than the Duke performance. Then too there was multiple receivers on the draft. I am not buying that he is not qualified absent combine nor senior Bowl invite. I believe that HBCUs players have been turning too many peoples heads and due to the reality we are in are staying in their lanes except for a few writers.

The game vs Liberty and ND State is going to be very big next year as it pertains to our players draft stock. Unfortunately for our WRs and RBs their performance is highly dependent upon the OL and QB. I hope our guys are truly working to get better right now versus sitting on their butts.

As a GM there's no way in hell I'd count a performance against Alcorn more than a performance against Duke. That being typed, as a GM there's no way in hell I wouldn't invite him out with his ability to go up and get the ball. He's been inconsistent at times but much more often than not he's been the go-to receiver and unstoppable. He won games for us on half a foot his junior year. At the very least he'd be a hell of a special teams player and third string wide receiver. I'm generally not biased and I don't think I'm biased here. I do have the feeling he's weighing several offers. I also have the feeling he may not have run that 4.55, lol.

I always felt Leslie was a better pro prospect than Bell. Bell had problems separating from defenders in the MEAC. He probably was an excellent rebounder in basketball

I’d like to see him at Tampa Bay as a 3rd or 4th option with an accurate Tom Brady.
