There is a great interview with Elijah Bell in today's News and Record April 15, 2020. The interview and article was written by Jeff Mills on April 14. Bell is in West Virginia.

Don't be surprised if Bell is asked to switch and play some TE . I know some on here will disagree but if that door opens up for him he should take the opportunity.

I concur, he seems to have the body type that could transition to TE. There are so many fleet and talented receivers in this years draft that a switch could greatly increase his chances of getting an opportunity to play on sundays.

Thanks for posting this, it a good article about a great receiver.. “My goal is just to get a chance to play. Either if it is from getting my name called on draft day or if it is right after for free agency. I had a grade from fourth to seventh round. And I have talked to four or five teams. It is coming up close so I am getting anxious to see what happens."

One thing I didn't know is that combine training is paid for by the agent and can cost up to $10,000 per player. It is an investment risk that the agent takes in hope of recouping the money after players sign. An agent may send 10 to combine training in hopes that 2-3 of them sign sizable NFL contracts. Agents would not pay for this training if they didn't think the player had a good chance to get drafted. Bell went to EXOS in California.
