Might as well get it started now. The GOAT not even going to touch that because I played with Dexter feaster. I would have liked to see him playing a little at TE though because I think it would enhance his chances of getting drafted as a TE more so then at a wide receiver at the NFL level . With his size working in the middle of the field damn . Great player yes goat no .

Here three big problems this year for Bell.
1) A&T will be up big in a lot games this year. Don't need to throw the ball much.
2) Leslie
3) We having a QB who will run out of the pocket and not wait for him to get open.
Now if he has one of those 12 catches 200 yds 3 TD against Duke than that another story

3) We having a QB who will run out of the pocket and not wait for him to get open. totally disagree with the qb statement. carter goes thru all of his reads/progressions while in the pocket, he does not have "happy feet". he ran a lot last year only because most of his runs were "designed runs", basically qb draws that the oc called. he does not "prematurely" leave the pocket...

The difference between Bell and Feaster is that Dexter was a possession receiver with speed that could stretch the field , Bell is more of and underneath possession receiver . If I was OC I would have put a package in with Bell at TE . Because for some reason I can just envision Bell as a TE Prospect at the next level . Oh on Dexter's NFL situation he had the team maded but for some reason he just walked away . I was talking with Duck (John Guy) and Ragsdale about him and the word was he just walked away from the game and enrolled in graduate school . But he had earned a spot on the team he just got tired I guess. Was James Lilly playing when you got there ? I know Taz was still there at TE and Blinky , Mike Edwards , Pukey and and Rap Brown DB's .

I agree with you OSA if he is open Carter we'll get him a ball .

Having guys like Leslie, Banks, and hopefully a consistent Hunt will make life easier for Bell, leaving him on an island where he can win those 50-50 balls. A healthy Bell period is a recipe for a strong year. He also loves playing in big time games, so I expect him to get his touches early and often in the season.

Bell will get his.

I suggest if you know Feaster, ask him why he left the camp. I told him what I heard ( much like what has been said here) and he gave me an entirely different story

This thread went off on a tangent a bit based on reaction to Bell's Twitter handle, but for record's sake...
A&T Career Receptions Herb Harbison: 172 Wallace Miles: 172 Elijah Bell: 147 Brandon Trusty: 121 Willie Wright: 109 Denzel Keyes: 108 Dexter Feaster: 107
A&T Career Receiving Yards Harbison: 2301 Miles: 2238 Bell: 2125 Wright: 1884 Feaster: 1876 Doug Brown: 1684 James Bowden: 1659
Career Receiving TDs Bell: 25 Keyes: 23 Craig Thompson: 19 Harbison: 17 Wright: 14 Feaster: 14 Jesse Britt: 12
Bell has a good chance of finishing his career with over 200 receptions, 3000 receiving yards and 30 TDs. He will statistically be in a class of his own in A&T football history if he stays healthy this year. And he's clearly on the radar of scouts and the Senior Bowl.... hence, the Elijah Bell Watch.

Seeing him at 100% in the scrimmages is bodes really well for this season.

Seeing him at 100% in the scrimmages is bodes really well for this season. i hope he gets a senior bowl invite. he's a very "unique" type of wr. his speed is very "deceiving" and i can't quite get a grip on it. he never seems to be running very fast, but he somehow finds a way to get behind db's and rarely get caught from behind. i think his biggest asset is his "hands". once he gets two hands on the ball, he almost never drops it. and if it comes down to a "tug of war" for the ball between him and the db, he'll win that battle virtually 100% of the time. he's a very "physical" wr but i don't know if that'll translate at the nfl level. if not, he may have to add weight and switch to tightend at the next level...
