Hey I've looked everywhere online and I haven't seen a number yet! Can anybody tell me how many freshmen came in this fall?

Each year they get over 22 thousand applicants. I have not bother to find the enrollment number. They may have accepted enough to put them over an enrollment of 12 thousand. Who knows.

The 12,450 includes a pretty good number of grad students. The undergrad's number is probably close to or above 11 thousand. They are moving in the direction of Renick's goal of 15 to 16 thousand before he left. However, Martin is doing it with quality students.

I’ve always wanted that A G G I E. P R I D E gimme that chant to grow throughout the stadium... this is a very smart way to get it started (during orientation), and also having them all wear gold. There are a lot of us senior citizens that may applaud a little after someone tells the what just happened after a play. But it’s mostly the student section that brings life into the stadium. Anyway it’s great to see an entry class this large being trained to show us how to participate as fans.

We actually exceeded 25,000 applications this past spring. Those are incredible numbers. But how many of that 25,000 actually showed up on the first day and had their picture taken? The ones that had the grades to. Typically, of the 20,000+ applicants, we accept about 7,000 and of those between 2,000 and 2,500 choose to enroll. This year was 2,450. You never know how many will actually choose to enroll. That's what creates the housing crunch every year. As more kids decide to actually come to A&T after being accepted, the school will have to adjust, but it is a good problem to have. Each year admissions has to make tougher choices about how many kids to accept.
