I think Ron Hunt will get the first chance to win the job as the designated deep threat. He just has to hold on to the football. It also seems Coach Washington is also open to a challenger coming in and taking Hunt's spot as that Deep Threat.

Stop sleeping on Hunt. He is poised for a breakout season.

These are the kind of questions that should be asked at the weekly post game luncheon.
Someone who knows what they talking about and can name players. Great Job excellent.
I was a little surprise he did not mention Stanback nor Prestige nor Stephen Davis, Jr. (replacement MLB you mention)
I am not a fan of Tre Small he does not have the length and the size to replace DJ. I am hoping Stanback will get some playing time.

Stephen Davis Jr is playing the rover/sam position not linebacker
Stanback will probly be redshirted
Janorris Robertson and Thomas washington are the freshman DL that looks like they are going to help us this year
but a lot can change and we are still a few weeks away from gameday

The Sam position is a linebacker.
Sam = Strongside linebacker.

Would it be nice if he was taller.,,,yes But if Coach Washington a defensive guru says that’s his man!!!! If he thought Stanback could be more effective I am sure he would start him
Here is the thing if Smalls can beat the opposing teams tight end or run through a blocking full back or RB ...I would not care if he was 5”2

I'm interested to know if he was high school teammates with B. Brian Blair.
