If you decide to not be apart of the party inside the Game Zone then create and have that party outside of gates. Outside of homecoming there are available tailgating spots on Laurel St around $50 a spot or $175 for the central game. It doesn't appear the Game Zone is going anywhere anytime soon, now is the time to try and do other stuff. People could tailgate on Laurel and invite all the people they want to come eat and talk about A&T football and other stuff. That could grow into its own thing similar to how the atmosphere is for homecoming.

Take the same passion you have toward the Game Zone & direct it toward engaging alums, the community and casual fans to donate to our university's general fund and/or AAF.
If our alumni gave back accordingly________ (fill in the blank).

Again you are missing the point. Laurel St is good but this is marketing 101 folks. Who is better to sell a product than the person who has purchased the product and believes in the product. Why would you ever limit the ability of the folks inside the cage to be able to invite their family and friends. I can bring 10 or more but I can't afford to pay 250.00 to do it. When they are ready they will purchase their own tickets. Who do you think is going to have the passion get people in the stadium, those of us inside the cage or the girl scouts troop on Laurel.🤷
Like I said we can compromise on this. For those who has the need to feel special and privileged and want an exclusive spot free from the public you can make the game zone on the home side. And if anybody uses your Port o potty without a game ticket let me know, and I'll be sure we deal with that immediately. Can't have that. But the rest of the grounds is free of game zone so we can include the public and those of us that are willing to sacrifice our need to feel exclusive can invite our family and friends and build future Aggies for generations to come.
Aggieclt the AAF is not ready for me.. lol..

Smh, at all these gimmicks. How about a winning football program and a good band? Oh yeah, we already have that. Exactly

....this ain't the Mexico/USA border discussion we're having. "If the wall comes down, there will be people freeloading around the stadium......NOT BUYING A DAMN THING AND USING A&T'S RESOURCES. ". You ain't just gonna freeload off of the Aggie environment and not contribute financially to what the Aggie game day experience is providing. This might not be mexico border situation but your remarks are exactly the same as what Trump says about immigrants đź’Ż.. For those of you have this free loading argument - have you ever heard of Fixed Costs.. the resources provided by the school is the same regardless. Halt the potential of thousands worrying about the few.. I'm sorry that does not make sense. But I got a great compromise.. if you want a game zone keep it on the home side for those who want to eat their hot dogs without the public.. make it a vip exclusive tailgate extraganza .. but make it public on the visitor side.. charge per car like it's done at almost every school that collects revenue for this event... It will pay for those port o potties and trash bags we are so concerned about. And then we can start to build a culture that has this community supporting Aggie football for generations. Makes no sense when both tailgate areas are sold out for the season and 100 plus names on the waiting list. As well as the other lot on Smith Street.

This is what I would do for our three home games that don't sell out: 1. Partner with a local charity to accept donations on their behalf. Make the game a big deal for that charity (Boy's Club,Youth Sports, Food Bank, etc.) 2. The first 1000 people that bring a donation to the charity (minimum $5 but can be any amount) get free admission up to one hour before game time. 3. Donations will be accepted after that, but with regular admission. 4. Promote,Promote,Promote 5. A&T then presents the donation to the charity at halftime and announces the amount. Make it an ongoing program.

Or we can keep raising the ticket prices and hope we can offset the revenue challenges.

You can either " raise student fees or raise the price of the tickets to off set the revenue challenges" neither one is a good idea . Raise student fees you piss the students off , Raise ticket prices and you further alienate the community and you support there dwindles more . Quite the conundrum A&T has on it's hands in order bring in Revenue . I say make a slight cut in ticket prices at the gate and offer more family and couples friendly ticket packages along with incentive activities , or an early bird ticket cuts if you get there 2 hours Early you get a slight reduction on your tickets . Are as was suggested a food bank, Boys & Girls Club, YMCA, Drive something that would lower the price of admission for the public .

Aggieclt the AAF is not ready for me.. lol.. i've been preaching what you're now preaching for years! so many of our alums don't understand what you're trying to say, but i do. man, i totally 100% agree with you! i've never liked the game zone but i've come to accept it because i'm a "team player" and also because it ain't going nowhere. so i've learn to live with it even though i despise the game zone for the very reasons you have stated. folks say aggie stadium is nothing but a bunch of "wind and cheese" folk and that's true. but that's what you're gonna get when you price the immediate community out. don't get me wrong, i'm very proud of my a&t degree along with the very comfortable lifestyle it has afforded me. however, i'll never forget where i come from. like you, i was also a so called "freeloader" before i became an aggie. so i take exception to calling "our people" bums and freeloaders just because they can't afford our high ticket prices. now that being stated, i'm not suggesting that we should reduce our ticket prices. but i do agree that we should not treat "our people" as if we're too "elitist" to share our game day experience with them. there's plenty of little girls and little boys in our immediate community who would luv to become an aggie one day, but we treat them as if they have a "sexually transmitted desease" or something which will likely have the opposite effect on them. swag, for many years i have fought the fight that you're now fighting and from my personal point of view, it is very "refreshing" to see that i'm not the only aggie who will never forget where they came from...

“Freeloaders” are NOT people who cannot afford to purchase tickets. This includes children.
Freeloaders are entitled adults who feel that it is UNNECESSARY TO PAY for entertainment space and resources paid for by The Collective. In other words, they aren’t chippin’ in!

The crowd that will spend $400 or more on a hotel room, $200 on event tickets (except the football game) and at least $1000 in total on their GHOE trip but never gave back to the campus.

Say it again .....this ain't hard folks. The money generated from Gamezone is going to all our athletic teams espically the Olympic Sports. Why do u think we are competitive across the board? Don't like the game zone, get your friends to donate more cash. Otherwise this is the best thing we got.

This is simple. If we had 20,000 folks in the seats every game, there would no need for this conversation or a game zone. But as long as people will spend $200 on food and liquor and won't spend $30 for a game ticket, the game zone is the best way to offset that mindset. And it is a mindset. My other ideas regarding ways to make admission more affordable for kids and others who may not get an opportunity to see a game will work. But the game zone should stay.
